Description: We're lovely...but clueless!!!

Dash - February 5, 2004 01:46 AM (GMT)
Hello

I'm Dash, long time reader, first time poster.

and I don't know how to get a avatar...hmmmm

Crys - February 5, 2004 02:38 AM (GMT)
There should be a link near the top of your page somewhere that says, "My Controls". Click that, and when the page it takes you to loads, there will be a bunch of links down the lefthand side. In the third set of them, there's one that says "Edit Avatar settings". That'll take you where ya can upload or link to one.

Hope that helped, and welcome to the boards. :)

Hey Dash and everyone else. I am also a newbie/annoying person. Would you consider a newbie? Im more newbie than my future wife, put it that way.
Anyway, welcome welcome....you will soon come to know me as: The one they wish would go away but doesnt and continues to bug everyone with Spandex, but until then, just call Me Lemming.

Dash - February 7, 2004 07:16 AM (GMT)

Choose any bed you want, just dont take the one with the big space in the corner beside it...thats mine and Coley's. The bed is hers, i just have the corner for my clothes for when i sleep over. we're fianced now you know, its only fair...

iloveclea - February 10, 2004 02:17 AM (GMT)
m' girl knows how it is!

thanks hun! and yeah, that's our bed, but the rest of them are lookin free so far...

Lemming - February 10, 2004 08:55 PM (GMT)
Well, i am well trained! hehe, oh and the bed next to ours is reseverved for our kitten, but apart from that i think the rest are free yes. Just remember that Thursday night is now offical Spazdex suit night, so unless you have your very own suit (mine has glitter and pockets and tassels and things) Your not coming in..

hysterogenic - February 12, 2004 05:28 AM (GMT)
who is this Coley? Have i been gone that long?

:/

iloveclea - February 12, 2004 05:48 AM (GMT)
i'm coley. my real name is nicole, but one of my nicknames is coley. B)

and you have been gone for a while... :ermm: where'ya been??? missed u!

Kate - February 12, 2004 07:46 AM (GMT)
Yes, Sally - you have missed out on a lot. I will catch you up when you get back to me with that theme song!

PS. I don't care which bed I am in, as long as I am near a fire exit and only have to share with one person (at a time). Contrary to popular opinion, I am only human!

GrahamEaton - February 15, 2004 05:11 AM (GMT)
I actually don't have a bed. I commute (sp), using my neon pink helicopter. Whee!

Dash - February 15, 2004 10:38 AM (GMT)

Look at you flying up there...Mind the ceiling!

:o No! I won't believe it! I WON'T! *clamps her hands over her ears and loudly sings various Mary Poppins songs*

Kate - February 16, 2004 06:58 AM (GMT)
*snaps fingers*

It's ok my dearling, I was just trying to slide that one by so I could get some sleep. I am not a mere mortal, I am just an insecure superhero. Having said that, do you want to shack up together?

Speaking of Mary Poppins, you know the mother who sings "Votes For Women!"? Well, she is in Superstar (Molly Shannon/Will Ferrel movie) and she's very good.

"When I say Booga Booga, you'd better Booga Booga"
"Gran, I don't know what that means"
"Neither do I, but if I say Booga Booga, you'd better fucking well figure it out!"

*joins in with Mary Poppins greatest hits*

hysterogenic - February 16, 2004 02:29 PM (GMT)
i love that movie 'Superstar' i used to do that shit all the time. it was like my fav movie for quite sometime. and i thought that the mom from mary poppins being the grandma was fucking funny...

Sally

Crys - February 16, 2004 03:12 PM (GMT)
Oh Kate, you know you're my favorite superhero  Course I'll shack up with you. I thought you'd never ask. (I'm glad I can cross that off of my "Questions Kate Will Never Ask Me" list.)

That part of Superstar is one of my favorite parts. I never knew that Mrs. Banks was the grandma though! Ahaa, that sends me one step closer to having my life be complete. ^_^

GrahamEaton - February 17, 2004 05:26 AM (GMT)
I didn't know that was her either. Now I'm going to have to watch it again to look for her.

YES! Now I can cross that off my "Questions Crys will never answer" list.

:) Yeh, she's just a gorgeous woman. Her scenes have me in hysterics sometimes - like when she is vacuuming, I don't know if it's wrong for me to find that funny, but I do.

Did you recognise the girl from "Better than Chocolate" as one of the cheerleaders, too?

Also, I was watching "She's all that" last night, and I swear that the girl who picks on Laney's art and suggests suicide to boost her artistic fame with Clea, is Sinead from BIAC... is that right? I am pretty sure it's Katherine Towne, which is cool.

emma - February 17, 2004 10:56 AM (GMT)
i am soooo going to have to go and watch that movie again now!! ooh i love it when that happens!!
like u know the really old remake of king kong?? well the star is Jessica Lange and then i was watchin tv the other day and the ad for that movie big fish came on and jessica lange is in it, its like 20 or 30 years later and she's in another movie, i was so pleased with myself that i remebered!! (see children paying attention in film & television class is important!!)

p3ngu - February 17, 2004 03:47 PM (GMT)
Emma, did you never what Tootsie!! she played the female lead. Actually she has been in loads of stuff.

I can't believe King Kong was remade in the 70's. God I feel old :(

Dash - February 17, 2004 10:40 PM (GMT)
Note to self:
* See Superstar & Big Fish.
* Rewatch Better Than Chocolate, Mary Poppins & She's All That
* Buy Crys & Kate "shacking up" present

GrahamEaton - February 18, 2004 05:57 AM (GMT)
Good catch on She's All That! That is Katharine Towne, aka Sinead from BIAC. She's a hottie... she also plays the daughter in the beginning of What Lies Beneath and... her biggest almost-made-it kinda role.... If you rent Sweet Home Alabama, check out the extra features, namely the deleted features. Katherine had a major role in the film, that was later cut out completely, accept for one little shot of her in the newspaper at the end. Anyway... she plays Reese's character's roommate, I think her name is Erin, who later hooks up with the guy Reese almost married.... the mayor's son? Anyway... there's a shot of Katharine holding up some clothes and then she drops the clothes and turns around and she's all nudie except her bum, which is a very good, very cute bum. She's incredibly feminine in the movie, tan, blond, very girlie... But she's cute.....

Miss A. - February 18, 2004 07:41 AM (GMT)
Katharine Towne was also in Girl with Clea too. I have seen her in a bunch of stuff. She is one of those actresses that is always popping up. Like, she was in Mulholland Drive, and an episode of Buffy too.

I have never seen Superstar

Kate - February 18, 2004 07:57 AM (GMT)
Who was she in Mullholland Drive? I have only seen that once, and I was probably concentrating on lamps, or keys, or something...

That is so freaky! I looked up IMBD to see which episode of Buffy she was in, and it's one from the box set I bought on the way home from work because it was $20. Eerie.

Lemming - February 18, 2004 08:00 PM (GMT)
Okay, i may be a little behind, but Oh my god. Im like a hu-age Buffy fan and i did not know that she was Sunday. Jeesh, Sun is only like the best Vamp ever, apart from Drusilla and the loveable and cute souly Spike. But....youch, she like snaps the Buffster's arm and everything. Good job i already have that DVD boxset, i can watch it again and again and again.....where was i?
Oooh, congrats Kate and Crys, i think we should PARTY...Naked?

I chose not to take that in a "gifts are better than Kate" way.

I'm going to watch that Buffy episode in a few minutes - it sounds cool.

Target, baby! My friend works in the DVD section and she called me and told me to come over - there was a closed sale on for staff. Yes!

Crys - February 19, 2004 07:56 PM (GMT)
Well yeah, that goes without saying. Really, there's no other way to take it. I mean, haven't you ever heard the saying, "Kate is better than everything"?

But really, how is it not a plus to get gifts? *nods*

Ohh damn. I guess that means no $20 Buffy box sets for me then. But $20 is a bargain! :)

GrahamEaton - February 20, 2004 06:54 AM (GMT)
Hell yeash it is. I sell them at walmsrt for like, 3 or 4 times that much......... wow

Kate - February 20, 2004 07:41 AM (GMT)
Yeh it is - I like having friends in retail.
I watched the episode last night - Katharine was an excellent vampire.

You are right, m'girl. I can only think of three instances where gifts aren't a plus, and since two of them were one off things and that particular goat is longer able to produce milk - I am willing to adopt your stance.

Dash - February 21, 2004 11:46 PM (GMT)
Due to the argument that arose from the excitment of waiting for a present, there will be no gifts given for the "shaking up"

Also - I couldn't think of what to get. So in the end it must be your fault for not supplying me wiith a list!
B)

Kate - February 22, 2004 03:21 AM (GMT)
That seems fair ;) Please note, however, that it is not an argument until someone shakes a fist.
