Title: Character Sketch
Description: Finally got one done...
EyeDraw - January 5, 2004 07:44 AM (GMT)
Ok. As promised, I finished up a sketch for my comic book character "Jayne Doe" (working name and title) using Clea's likeness. Now, I don't see any way to import an image offline so anyone who wants to see the sketch post a request here and I'll e-mail the image to you individually.

Cleaduvallslover - January 7, 2004 06:34 PM (GMT)
Hell Yeah , that is just the vision I had in mind, with a few extras, such as maybe the small Kanjii tattoo? and shades clipped over the top, Is what I sketched out too, It totally kicks ass, I love it.
Hey you any good at drawing Michelle Rodriguez, I tried several times and just cant get that stare right, lol, Its really P'ing me off today.lol.
Take care

Thanks for your feedback guys.
Cleaduvallslover, yes I plan on adding some more details like shades, a trenchcoat, and a tattoo--(I'm leaning towards something symbolizing revenge).
I've got her arsenal all picked out, now I just need to figure out how she's going to lug it all around the city. I'm also trying to find a nice mode of transportation for her--a muscle car, classic design--the kind with a lot of blasting power under the hood.
As for Michelle Rodriguez I've never used her as a model before so I couldn't tell you. I use celebrities for almost all of my characters' likeness and after a bit of practice, I'm usually pretty good at capturing everyone's likeness.
I might try my hand at her and see what I come up with.

Ya, the problem being the server that is hosting it is limiting the number of file accesses to the pictures per day, so what is happening is the first so many attempts (allotted, such as 30) views can see it, after that no luck.
Example, if I attempt to view this thread at 12:01 am, theres an excellent chance to see it, because by then only maybe 2-3 people have tried, but by say 3 am that same day, all the alloted views are gone, and the picture won't show. Its a way to control bandwidth
Dr. Nick - January 8, 2004 12:28 PM (GMT)
:ermm: Neither late at night, nor early this morning I was able to see the pic :$
 Anyone able to mail me the pic -> dr.nick1@gmx.net? Thx!

Damn EyeDraw, Clea in leather.
You know how to speak right to my heart... Is she gonna be in leather the entire comic book? cause I'll take 12.
Kate - January 10, 2004 03:54 AM (GMT)
Yes, the leather also spoke to my.... uh, heart.
Lemming - January 18, 2004 04:15 PM (GMT)
Damn, you are good at drawing. Even my stick figures look like demented chickens with no necks and weird arms.
Its very very cool, and i can totally see her with the shades and stuff, like a Matrix style thing.
Kate - January 20, 2004 07:02 AM (GMT)
I think you should start a comic about demented chickens - they really need more coverage, and their having no neck and weird arms provides mass commercial appeal.
:w00t: Get crackin!
hysterogenic - January 21, 2004 09:47 PM (GMT)
yes i have always wanted to know more about these 'demented chickens', but it is just so hard to find any good info on them, it would be a really big help, thanx in advance.

I think that these headless chickens have a bad name for themselves, someone should totally get their oppinions and give a full interview...the needs and rights of the demented chicken should be told to the world.
They have feelings to you know.
hysterogenic - January 23, 2004 01:48 AM (GMT)
kate we should jump on this bandwagon as well as our Gnome/ Cookie campaign...
What do we want? Demented Chickens! When do we want them? Now Mother Fucker!!

iloveclea - January 23, 2004 06:10 AM (GMT)
haha! i think that's the best rally chant i've heard in a while.... well next to "no more taco hell!" of course! :P
Kate - January 23, 2004 07:36 AM (GMT)
Gnome/Cookie/Demented Chicken.
It's the next logical step, I can't believe I didn't see it before!
If we don't fight for the rights of demented chickens then who will? Certainly not Garden Gnomes, there too busy stealing people's fucking cookies.
hysterogenic - January 25, 2004 02:28 AM (GMT)
well that is y i am here to show u the way when u r too tired to see it. Yeah all those Garden Gnomes care about is how that last cookie is gonna crumble and frankly i am tired of vacuuming up the crumbs. can they stay at ur house this weekend?
Sally
Kate - January 25, 2004 11:16 AM (GMT)
Yes, just give me a chance to line the floor with newspaper and I'll come and pick them up - please don't give them cookies or sugar for an hour before I get there - those bastards are bad enough without being on a sugar high and it's "Smashing Season" at my house.
Lemming - January 25, 2004 02:52 PM (GMT)
I have a flowerpot man...there bloody crazy. Prancing about the garden...Bill ran off and since then Ben has been so down, i just dont know what to do to cheer him up. Maybe i should get him a gnome friend?
Kate - January 26, 2004 12:43 AM (GMT)
Hmmm, flowerpot men are such complex little characters. Who can say for sure what is going on in their world or what level of intimacy they could achieve comfortably with a garden gnome... I say, Give it a go! At the very least, Ben will have someone to pick on until Bill runs out of money and has to crawl his way back and explain the ambiguous tattoos on his lower foliage.
Lemming - January 26, 2004 08:07 PM (GMT)
Hmm, i know what you mean. Ben's pining away and the poor guy keeps drinking and dropping his flowers on the ground-messy bugger.
Question is, what gnome to get, i mean, does he want one with a fishing rod? Which could come in handy if they go for moonlit walks on the pond, or what?
I just dont know anymore.
And yeah, Bill will have a lot of explaining to do, one thing is for certain, i wont let him in the garden unless he gets rid of the "I love greenfly" tattoo he apparently gained while on his journeys. Rebel!
Kate - January 27, 2004 08:59 AM (GMT)
Bill loves Gleenfly? Oh sister, that is low.
Might I suggest a garden gnome with a little hoe?
Lemming - January 27, 2004 08:29 PM (GMT)
You may suggest it, and i will definately think about it, but im not sure how i feel about having two ho's about the place.
Kate - January 28, 2004 07:33 AM (GMT)
Ah, I see. That is where you and I differ... I believe in the old saying : "Hos, Hos everywhere, now someone get me a drink" and my doormat says "Hos welcome" on it. I am pro-ho.
Lemming - January 28, 2004 08:19 PM (GMT)
Wait, i had an idea. I could send Ben up to you, and you could offer him room and board and his ho could come to...seeing as you're so up with the ho's. B)
Kate - January 29, 2004 08:11 AM (GMT)
Sure thing, send him right over - just make sure he knows the ground rules, ok?
out by 11 - in by 4, and I don't do cooking or kitchen chats over hot chocolate!
