yesterday on sundance they were doings shorts all day because it was the shortest day of the year. I just happen to click on the channel right as Sleeping Beauties came on, how cool is that? alos jamie babbit had abunch of shorts that aired, there was this one, i cant remember the name, but it was this old lesbian couple and the femme one was really bitchy and the butch one just took it and never said anything. well they go for a drive in their truck and they run over this person and the femme one gets out and the butch one locks her out of the truck, so the femme one yells and climbs on the truck and everything it was so funny, eventually the femme on walks away and the butch one slides over into the passenger seat and rolls down the window a little bit and just smiles.. it was so cute and funny. i wonder how many lesbian shorts jamie has done? it would be kick ass if they made a dvd of all her short films. i know i would be lineing up to get it.

Everytime it's supposed to be on... I miss it. I'm serious... every single time. Maybe I'm not supposed to see it..... :ermm:

The movie you're talking about is called Stuck. I know this cuz the night that I was looking extensively through Clea's IMDB.com profile, I noticed she was mentioned under "Special Thanks" for the movie Stuck so I checked it out. How was it? Any good?

Now for some info on Jamie. As far as I know, Stuck and Sleeping Beauties are the only lesbian shorts. She has another short called Frog Crossing but I don't think it's lesbian. Guess what, though? I was looking at her IMDB.com profile and she has directed massive amounts of TV shows: "Popular", "Gilmore Girls", "Malcolm in the Middle", "Miss Match", "Nip/Tuck", "Ed", "The Bernie Mac Show" and "Undressed". Plus she worked on the lesbian film, All Over Me, as well as If These Walls Could Talk, but not the lesbian one, the first one about abortions.

Have you ever noticed that Hollywood is like, being taken over by gay people? LOL. You can totally connect everything. I mean.... Jamie worked on "Popular", which starred Tammy Lyn Micheals, who just married Melissa Ethridge. And even though the Walls that Jamie directed was the abortion one, Anne Heche was in it and she USED to be gay. LOL. And "Ed", well, y'all think that main girl looks like Clea so there's a smidge connection. Yeah, okay, I'm stretching a bit now.

Hey, I wonder if the "Miss Match" that Jamie directed was the lesbian one. And did anyone see that episode, by the way? I only heard about it.

One final word on these things: I so do not understand short films. Anyone wanna offer any insight?

:matrix: it's the gay mafia

(actually I think it's the opposite, and we are just in the non-ratings period, but whatever, who's complaining.)

Short films - I dig them. You know when you're sitting through a film that drags everything out, or could have ended after Act Two and been just as good - they should have been short films.

They are usually funny or smart ideas (or even a joke) and are excellent for students or people working on small budgets. You can practise film making and not spend huge amounts of cash.
