Ferith - July 3, 2008 11:09 PM (GMT)
Yeah, because America likes fucking up all that's good in the world. There has been a confirmation that a Live Action Death Note Movie in America will be produced, rumored Director is the guy from "The Strangers" (Bryan Bertino) which got a 41% on Rotten Tomatoes. It's rumored Zac Effron will be starring Light Yagami.

I think he could pull it off

It could work.

In Hell, maybe.

Any rumors about who will play L?

...the question is not if they could pull it off, but why would they want to pull it off?

Pretty sure that they already have one in Japan, just get the translated one.

Didn't they already make a live action Death Note? I saw a commercial for it in theaters, but not with the previews. Actually, they were going to host a showing for only a few specific days.

The commercial made it look horrible, though. It had really bad CGI and seemed like it was just translated from Japanese. :\ So I guess it probably wasn't an official "movie".

The movie was bad. It didn't follow the Death Note story.

The answer is for money. American horror movies based off Japanese horror movies=profit.
