Title: So What's The Deal With The Whole Goon Thing?
Lance - March 23, 2008 02:34 AM (GMT)
Obviously, Invisionfree is currently hacked by the hacker group known as goons. I have a few questions to ask: why did they do it, how long will IF as a whole remain like this, and did your heart just about stop when you thought Chao Paradise would be gone forever (not just that, but all those posts down memory lane you made)?
Yeah some pretty important stuff to discuss so I decided to post it.
Lance - March 23, 2008 02:35 AM (GMT)
Nevermind it's already fixed.

I dunno i saw that too, those guys are just f*cking pussys who need to get f*ckn owned by my fist
Peaches - March 23, 2008 02:53 AM (GMT)
So it was all of InvisionFree? That's interesting.
And yeah, I nearly stopped breathing when I saw the hacked thing. @.@; Phew... at least it's better now.

It didn't seem to be all of InvisionFree to me, another IF board that I go to that is on this same server was working fine while this one had that g00n page on it ._.
Sweetie - March 23, 2008 11:30 PM (GMT)
Erk. I missed it. ._. *fail*
Ultimate Devil Chao - March 23, 2008 11:48 PM (GMT)
I never even heard of this, when did this happen?

Sometime yesterday evening, I think it said about 5:30 (my time, at least).

So, our forum was controlled by hackers for a short time?! Jeez that's a scary thought >> I've been hacked before. it is the most absolutely worst feeling in the world, and I cursed and swore to the person who hacked me to seemingly no end >> (I make the >> face a lot now don't I?)

Yes. I was wondering what everyone else was thinking.

To be honest, when I saw what happened at first, I had a good laugh. I thought it was funny that there was the chance that we got some hacker's panties twisted into a tight enough bunch that we were worth hacking.
So when I went to IF to figure out if we could get it fixed, I realized the whole damn boat had been hacked and said "oh, it's the whole network down. Oh well, it'll be up in a few hours."
Then I realized that other forums were still up, while some were down. It took me about fifteen minutes to realize that there was a correlation between domain names and the hacking, so I tracked down the old CP link (see below), got into Admin CP, temporarily disabled the domain name and sent out an e-mail to everyone trying to explain what happened.
Of course, my valiant effort was wasted, as:
A. Most of you (Lance) don't seem to check the e-mail accounts you used to sign up here
B. IF had fixed itself no less than a half hour after I did all this.
Oh well, it's the thought that counts.
Answers:
@UDC: g00ns did not hack our forum in particular. They simply took out InvisionFree and any IF forum with a domain name that required hosting by the IF main site in order to stay up. CP was just one of them by pure chance. If you'd used the original link (http://z3.invisionfree.com/Chao_paradise/index.php) you could've gotten in here no problem.
Also, if someone hacks you, try not to freak out. It only encourages them. If you can communicate with them, just strike up small talk with them, ask what they're doing, how many times they've done it, ask if they can show you how to do it. They'll probably get bored when they realize you aren't panicking.
@HC999: Take a deep breath, kiddo. No need to prove your masculinity over the Internet, as it typically shows you lack it.

Hmmm, calm fury. i like it :3

Guess I missed it too. I'm in Puerto Rico, so I don't get to use the computer much anyways.

Lol.
Anyways, Getting hacked is okay for me I'll just hack my stuff back and change my pass's and everything lol.
But IP hackers are just a pain in the ass. ;~;
i got one of them and it took me 24 hours to get rid of him. -.-
Then after that i just changed my pass's and all.
But you are right on that 'Calm Fighting' stuff it actually makes them go away. ;3

it means ake a deep brether and calm down no need to prove you 'buffness' as it most definatly shows you do not have it.
i can dumb it down a bit more if you would like just tell me...
hyper choa999stat - May 19, 2008 06:08 AM (GMT)
((bump))
i bumped it cause i had to .
you my friend are used of talking dumb senning how you are dumb
((by the way qweef is a funny word))
Kiao - May 19, 2008 06:57 PM (GMT)
No, you didn't have to bump it. And it really undermines your point of calling somebody dumb when you spell "seeing" wrong.
And the word is "queef."
