Try to center conversations on what both you and the other can relate to. Soon enough, dialogue should come naturally. ;3 Gain their trust and then you can be quite open, normally.

I think I have an attractive aura. I only have to talk to people a couple of times and then I get to call them friends. Haha. I have no tactic, I'm just bad ass. :)

Yeah, I'm pretty much the same. It's lucky for me I guess. I don't know what qualities I possess that are so appealing that people like me... /brag
Anyway, just be honest, and be yourself. If that's not enough, than you need to work on finding out who you are, what you desire in life, who you want to be, and what kind of people you feel most safe, secure, and happy with. Don't mistake this with the popular kids at school or a group of cool kids. Kids that are genuinely good people and are fun to be with are, though.
If you find those people, I fully believe they'll like you :D

Mostly, it's all just talking. talk, and get talked to. eventually you find out you have something in common, and just talk a lot about that.
