Title: The All-new Pokémon Rp
Description: you know you love it
Kiao - January 5, 2008 06:22 PM (GMT)
This is the newest, most up-to-date Pokémon RP we have had here so far. As it is all new, we're starting fresh, that means
everyone participating must make a new profile and start from the very beginning. Any complaints? Then don't participate. Simple as that.
THIS IS HOW YOUR PROFILE WILL BE SET UP:Name-simple enough.
Appearance-what they look like, clothing they wear, etc. Artwork to back up appearances are helpful, and not only that, show off artistic talent.
Hometown-one of the towns in the Pokemon World.
Starter Pokemon-choose from the list below.
Starter's Nickname-your starters nickname.
Personality-their personality, simple enough.
Special Abilities-any unique skills, like being able to run fast or speak to certain species of Pokemon in their language.
Goal-what they plan to do in life.
RULES:1. You can find other Pokémon that are naturally not found in that country, but no legendaries or starters can be found outside their respective countries.
Ex. No Chikorita in Kanto, or no Regirock in Johto.
However, all those with
** next to their names can be found in any country and/or hatched from eggs.
2. No made up Pokémon. At all. I MEAN IT. You will earn my eternal ire and the ires of several other ireful people. And if you don't know what "ire" means, it means wrath. If you don't know what that means, I hate you already.
3. If you choose to encounter a legendary Pokémon, feel free, but you CANNOT capture it. It would ruin the RP, and it would "disrupt the natural balance."
4. Some Pokémon, mostly Dragon-types, are meant to be uncommon. Please treat them as such. I don't want everyone running around with Salamences and Garchomps and shit.
5. No automatically catching Pokémon after 1 or 2 attacks. You have to be battling them for at least 2 posts or 5 paragraphs.
6. Play the game as if you were just starting out. Not from your real Pokémon game.
7. No winning a battle in one post. If you're going to have a battle with anything, even to train, it has to be a decent post.
8. Please use common sense when it comes to finding Pokémon.
Please. It doesn't require much effort. If I see someone catching a Fire-type in the middle of a lake, I might have to cry a little bit inside.
I'll add more rules when I can think of them.
STARTER POKEMON:They're even organized by type so if you aren't very Pokésavvy, or only played a few of the games and liked a specific type, you can find them easily.
Grass-Type Starters:TurtwigTreecko
Chikorita
Bulbasaur
Fire-Type Starters:ChimcharTorchic
Cyndaquil
Magby
**Charmander
Water-Type Starters:PiplupMudkip
Azurill
**Totodile
Squirtle
Electric-Type Starters:Plusle and Minun combo
**Pichu
**Elekid
**Psychic-Type Starters:Mime Jr. **Wynaut
**Smoochum
**Fighting-Type Starters:Rioru **Tyrogue
**Normal-Type Starters:Munchlax **Happiny **Togepi
**Eevee
**The ones that are hyperlinked are from the new Diamond and Pearl games, and since I'm not sure how many of you have played them, those links lead to Serebii's Pokédex so you can find more information on them. You can also find information on the other starters, or any other Pokémon, from the same place.
STARTING INVENTORY:6 Pokéballs
Cell phone
PokétchPokédex
And that should be about it. I guess I'll have my new profile up in a little while, but right now, I don't feel like typing any more.
Peaches - January 5, 2008 07:27 PM (GMT)
Uh, that's a little creepy... I was just thinking, "Dang, when is someone going to start that giant Pokemon RP back up?" and, well... o.o; Anyways, I'm in!
Name- Peaches Breeder
Appearance- Shoulder-length blonde hair (usually messy) with blue eyes. Wears a black baseball cap with a Pokeball symbol in the front. Wears simple black-and-red fingerless gloves. She also wears a small, Pokeball-based water-proofed watch, but it isn't seen very often. Wears a long-sleeved white shirt, and over top, a red short-sleeved hooded shirt with white letters spelling out CCI (Celadon City Intermediate, the imaginary school she attends in Celadon). Has baggy black jeans, and wears worn-out red and black tennis shoes. (I wish I could post a picture, but my mom hasn't kept her promise to show me how to use a scanner >>;)
Hometown- Celadon City
Starter Pokemon- Eevee
Starter's Nickname- none (I keep going back and forth on this >>;)
Personality and Background- Peaches is a very excitable and eager trainer that has been looking forward to becoming a Pokemon trainer since she was only three or four years old. While most trainers left at the age of ten to travel to Professor Oak's lab and receive their first Pokemon and go on their quest, Peaches received her Pokemon (Eevee), but waited another two long years before going on trainer's leave. Consequently, Peaches can be rather headstrong and impatient when it comes to Pokemon battling or catching, which can sometimes ruin the concentration she needs to be a good trainer. On the other hand, Peaches is actually very knowledgeable when it comes to Pokemon's advantages and disadvantages, being that she has studied them over half her life. Because of this, many can agree that Peaches is actually a very talented trainer for someone her age. In terms of personality, Peaches has two distinct halves- a calm, collected, serious half of her that is usually seen in battle or in a serious situation, or the obnoxious, goofy, sarcastic side of her that is seen when she is with friends or in a comfortable environment. Overall, she is rather friendly, but does have a temper that rears its ugly head every once in a while.
Special Abilities- Peaches is very artsy, and loves to write stories. As a trainer, she has a vast amount of knowledge about Pokemon, and is a talented battler. She also has a very close bond with her Eevee, though it is not considered a special ability.
Goal- Peaches is looking forward to becoming a great trainer one day, perhaps even entering in the Pokemon League when talented enough. Though Peaches likes breeding and entering Pokemon in contests, being the best trainer she can be is her first priority.
I also added a little bit of trainer background. Is that alright?
EDIT- Updated profile.
Kiao - January 5, 2008 11:17 PM (GMT)
Excellent, Peaches. Here's my profile:
Name-Izzy Okaimai
Appearance-Izzy appears to many as a sterotypical "mad scientist." He is tall for his age and very skinny, with pale skin and vibrant orange hair that is always messy and sticking up. His head is also wrapped in a piece of black fabric which bears his symbol (an orange half Pokéball, half gear shape). His eyes are obscured by his shiny, and somewhat menacing, silver googles. He wears a gray lab coat and pants made out of an odd textile of his own invention. It allows him to partially blend in with his surroundings, as long as he is touching them, similar to a chameleon (or
Kecleon, as the case might be). He also wears black gloves, and plain black rubber boots, and a black belt which has his symbol on it as well.
EDIT: Behold!

Hooray for quick recoloring and minor sprite editing! Woohoo!
Hometown-New Bark Town (Hoenn)
Starter Pokemon-Treecko
Starter's Nickname-Amazon
Personality-Izzy is very bright and generally nice, but he is also slightly eccentric. He is prone to shout out things at random, often only vaguely related to the situation at hand. However, when it comes to discussing technology, he is exceptionally arrogant and cocky, and loves to brag.
Special Abilities-Mechanical genius. Izzy has an intuitive understanding of how most technologies work, and as such, is capable of building a wide array of stunning mechanical gadgets out of the simplest of household appliances. He has designed so far:
-his mechanical goggles, which grant him many additional scopes of vision (thermal, x-ray, night, etc.)
-his coat and pants which allow him to camouflage himself in the environment
-a compact SCUBA suit and other miscellaneous items
Goal-To become the greatest inventor in the world.
Jaguar Junichi - January 6, 2008 12:48 AM (GMT)
Name: Mandarin Kahn

Hometown: Johto
Starter Pokemon: Minun and Plusle combo
Starter's Nickname: Minun = Trojan, Plusle doesn't have one.

Special Abilities: Red Belt in Tai-Kwon-Do. Otherwise normal.
Goal: Elite 4 Champion

Damn >> I'd love to be in this RP, but I'd rather not because I like to overcomplicate things sometimes. So I'll think I'll just stay out of this one. have fun boys and girls.

Nonsense, if you want to participate, you can, and if there are complicated problems that arise, we can work them out.
Someone can start this thing off whenever they're ready.

Let's just wait a bit to see if anyone else wants to join. After all, Sweetie and Lance joined last time. *hopes they see this topic, too*
Aw, c'mon, UDC! D: You're a good RPer, plus you've gotten better since the last time we played this. You'll be fine! :)

Lance - January 13, 2008 09:28 PM (GMT)
Same as last time, though slightly changed
Name: Hunter
Appearance: To put it best according to mind, think of Bruno, give him Jecht's (from FFX) hair, extend it, as well as his goatee (and basic facial figure). Now give him the jeans you'd expect in fashion, and make them really torn at the end. He also has a furry, tan jacket on him, but doesn't put his arms through the sleeves. To finish it up, make him light black (a little darker than Obama) and less muscly than Bruno. Voila! That's the best description I can give for him
Hometown: Littleroot
Starter Pokemon: Rioru
Starter's Nickname: Little-bro, Rio (pronounced Ree-oh) (usually just sticks with Rioru, though)
Personality: Competitive, laid-back, witty, somewhat oblivious, flirty
Partner's Personality: Competitive, calm, wise, collective
Special Abilities: Hunter is quite a unique trainer, as he prefers to throw himself into battles as well (when needed), proving his strength. He is as strong as his Level 6 Rioru, currently. Hunter is also outfitted with uncanny good luck (in danger situations), which he himself is unaware of at times.
Backstory: Hunter and his Rioru have been with each other for a couple of months (Hunter is pretty fricken old, he's 16). At his hometown of Dewford (the second gym), Hunter was a bit of a fighter, who often fought against other people in the local gym (not as a Pokemon Trainer). On his way home from the gym one day, Hunter found a lone Rioru on his path to his house. Hunter looked at the strange Pokemon, and decided he would do the impossible: Challenge a Pokemon to a battle. Rioru flat out ignored Hunter at first, who had became quite enraged. Hunter had thrown a hook at Rioru, who had blocked the attack with a powerful Counter. Hunter quickly retaliated with a quick sweep, who knocked Rioru off guard. The fight continued for about 30 minutes, and eventually ended in a draw. Hunter, impressed by the small Pokemon, had offered the little creature to be his partner, and the little Rioru accepted, feeling honored to have had a draw with a mere human. He was obliged and started to treat his new partner as an aniki. The two had became great pals, and two months later, decided to depart for Littleroot to start on the path to become an aspiring trainer
Goal: To build a team of strong and cool Pokemon (pretty much a gang with his Pokemon being subbordinates and him being the Aniki, which is usually a group leader who is treated like a bigger brother by his comrades/subordinates) whilst reaching for the top of the ranks.
SilentStrike - February 21, 2008 03:41 AM (GMT)
Name- Patrick Veech
Appearance- He's about six feet tall, and wears jeans, tennis shoes, a white shirt, and a black fleece jacket. He also wears a Chicago Cubs baseball cap backwards, with a slight curve. He is characterized by his sizable build, messy blond hair, and blue eyes. He also has a very Romanesque face.
Hometown- New Bark Town, Johto
Starter Pokemon- Totodile
Starter's Nickname- Buddy
Personality/Goals-Open-minded, wise, athletic and loving teenager who is eager to become a pokemon trainer, and become the league champion. He is famous for his long conversations, only heart to heart and buisness, though. He is very easy to talk to, and loves his friends more than anything.
Special Abilities- He is able to speak with his starter, Buddy, he is also able to pick up on a pokemon's emotions if just getting to know them.
------
At last... The day has come! I feel home free!
This singular thought found its home in Patrick's mind the entire first day of his career as a Pokemon trainer. He was so excited to be traveling, and could hardly wait to catch some more pokemon.
His enthusiasm rubbed off on his starter, Buddy, too. He didn't travel in his pokeball, but found riding on Patrick's head a great alternative.
So the two fated companions choose Violet City as their first major destination, and by the end of the first day of traveling, stumbled into Cherrygrove City, about 1/3 of the way between New Bark and Violet City.
Patrick found a cheap motel room, and spent the night there...

(WOOT. Thank god someone actually decided to start this)
Hunter and his Rioru have been with each other for a couple of months (Hunter is pretty fricken old, he's 16). At his hometown of Dewford (the second gym of Honen), Hunter was a bit of a fighter, who often fought against other people in the local gym (not as a Pokemon Trainer). The two had became great pals, and two months later, decided to depart for Littleroot to start on the path to become an aspiring trainer (NOTE: Going to edit my profile A LOT)
Hunter looked around the new town "Huh, so this is the famed Littleroot, eh? Why do we have to start here anyway?"
Rioru, using his ability to speak through ripples, "Well aniki, this is the start for most Pokemon trainers. It would be quite a good experience for us to work from te bottom of the barrel to the higher ranks."
"I still think it would have been easier just to go to that port. We could pound the snot out of anyone who opposes us!"
"Now, now Aniki. You're not invincible, we still have to go at a steady pace."
"Whatever, there better be some hot chicks in this town. Girls from all over the world in the port would have been more interesting...."
"Is your mind really tainted with such needless things? To avoid the subject, let's see if there's any smart people around here, it would be most wise to pick up one of those Pokedexs."
"RIGHT. Hey whose that guy overthere? Looks sot of crazy, but he has a white suit! All scientists have white suits."
(HINT HINT, Kiao. Also, New Bark Town is part of Johto, Kiao. You're looking for Littleroot, I believe.)
SilentStrike - February 22, 2008 02:40 AM (GMT)
(Haha, thanks. But one concern; Kiao's rule is that only pokemon of appropriate region can be with you i.e. Bulbasaur --> Kanto, Chikorita --> Johto, Rioru --> whatever fourth region is called... forgot, sorry.)
(Also, Kiao, what are the guidelines for the following: Finding items, training pokemon/growing levels and also, I'm not sure about any of the old pokemon's new moves since DP, so I may have the moveset order out of whack. How long should we post for until we level?)
-------
After exiting the motel, the two immediately set out for Violet.
*I'll edit later, I have to go now...)

1. You can find other Pokémon that are naturally not found in that country, but no legendaries or starters can be found outside their respective countries.
Ex. No Chikorita in Kanto, or no Regirock in Johto.
However, all those with ** next to their names can be found in any country and/or hatched from eggs. |
(Also to your questions Silent, here's what pretty much what goes on:
Finding items are pretty much found in events the party (i.e us Pokemon Trainers) find or are rewarded with.
Training Pokemon isn't really it in the literal sense. You don't jsut go in a field of grass, battle a Zigzagoon, and battle 20 more of them to evolve your Pokemon. Evolution is completely different. And the levels don't matter that much either, except if you, for instance, get a Treeko and after one battle it evolves into Grovyle. Pretty much, if it isn't something absurd like that or Mudkip learning Earthquake when you took him through just the first gym, you should be okay. Basically, you evolve your Pokemon by: a couple of wild matches, gym battles, and mostly by event matches.
As for attacks, just look on Serebii.net. Check the D/P Pokedex, find your Pokemon of choice, and see what moves it learns. As said before, if you're just starting out, you can't expect to have your Squirtle learn Hydro Pump or somehow wind up with a Fire Blast TM.)
Silent - February 23, 2008 02:33 AM (GMT)
(Alrighty, thanks Leo :D)
As the duo approached wild grass, they were caught off guard by a screaming boy. A screaming boy who was screaming at them.
"Hey you! Battle, now!"
Patrick, struck by the stranger's rudeness, gave the guy a glare, and then whispered to Buddy that it was pretty much time for some ownage.
"Fine. One-on-one, I choose Totodile. You?" Patrick asked.
"I'll be using my Pidgey," the guy replied.
Buddy was fired up for his first match, and when Patrick commanded, he executed flawlessly.
Scratch? Pidgey'd bleed he'd scratch so hard.
Leer? Pidgey'd hide in a corner and cower in fear.
And sure enough, Buddy was the victor, with only one successful hit on him, a weak tackle. Patrick was thrilled at Buddy's performance, and gave him a high-five before Buddy returned to his spot on Patrick's head, grabbing his favorite seat.
"Good match," Patrick offered his hand in respect, but the other trainer simply hit his hand away, dropped some cash on the ground, and stomped off.
Christ...It's only a pokemon battle, you dork...
Patrick also noticed a shiny object on the ground, and as he reached down to pick it up, he became excited quickly, seeing that it was a TM!
He almost called the trainer, to tell him of what he had dropped, but Patrick figured Buddy could put the move to much better use than that weak-ass Pidgey could.
"Here, Buddy. Hold on to this for a minute."
Buddy did, and suddenly, the young Totodile had learned the move Aerial Ace.

((You could teach your Pokémon attacks in other ways, as well, and make up your own even. But we'll work on that as time goes on. Y'know, improvise. For special attacks and whatnot, think of it like the anime. At first, Pikachu knew Thundershock, right? And then when it got stronger Thundershock became Thunderbolt. And then it became Thunder. Think of it like that.))
"Whozawhat?!" Izzy jumped, having just stepped out of the laboratory of Professor Birch. His Treecko, clinging to his back, raised an eyebrow quizzically. Izzy looked over at the man who had just pointed at him, and adjusted his goggles, tilting his head. "Oh. Hello. Where you talking about me and my Technicolor lab coat? Well, technically it's not Technicolor. Technically it can be any color I want it to be. So I guess it technically could be Technicolor. But it's not right now. It's gray. Which is like the opposite of Technicolor. Whatever."
He beamed brightly, pulling up his coat over his shoulders more. His Treecko rolled its eyes, lazily lifted an arm, and smacked him firmly upside the head. "Treecko."
"Ow! Amazon, you little bugger! I should throttle you for that!"
"Treecko."
"Rant? Me? Why, never! I am a man of science, an engineering mastermind, a-"
"Treecko..?" It raised its eyes skeptically, smirking a bit.
"...not a blabbermouth, no. It's not a title."
"Treecko."
"It is NOT the truth either!"
"Tree, Treecko..."
"Bleh, a pox on you!"
And so began a period of loud babbling and incoherent arguing between boy and Pokémon. And what a period of loud babbling and incoherent arguing it was.
Jaguar Junichi - February 25, 2008 03:42 AM (GMT)
Mandarin made his way through the thick grasses, Trojan and Plusle on shoulder, looking for new pokemon. He was incredibly eager, this being his first pokemon journey. A dull flash of brown pierced the green of the grass around him. He dived for it, and grabbed the unsuspecting Sentret by the tail. It tumbled into the clear, furious and prepared for battle.
"Yes!" Mandarin said with a smile, "My first battle."
(I'll pick this up soon)
Silent - February 26, 2008 02:29 AM (GMT)
Whoosh!
A Pidgey glided right under Totodile as he hastily jumped to avoid a tackle attack.
But by no means was Buddy ready to let the Pidgey win; in fact, he came back with his own attack. A jet-stream of water blasted out of the young pokemon's mouth, and connected with the Pidgey.
Down he went, straight into the ground. Battered from the encounter, Pidgey lay there as Patrick threw a pokeball at him. He didn't fuss when the ball rolled around, he was subject to capture.
Buddy had collapsed too, for he had endured many tackle attacks from the Pidgey in their five-minute battle. Patrick sent him back to his pokeball as well.
Fortune was on his side today, he concluded when noticing that he was just a few short minutes from Violet city. He ran all the way there.

OoC: Future reference: it takes more than one post to catch a Pokémon. See rule #5 (No automatically catching Pokémon after 1 or 2 attacks. You have to be battling them for at least 2 posts or 5 paragraphs).
Just for future reference, but I'll let this slide once.

Peaches - April 6, 2008 05:49 PM (GMT)
((*posts*))
Peaches Breeder, an aspiring trainer from Celadon City, decided to travel as far out as the Johto region for a vacation stop. Though the goal of her trip was to become familiar with other regions besides Kanto, she also hoped to find some interesting Pokemon along the way...
~~~
Peaches practically collasped on the bed in her hotel room in Goldenrod City where she had flown in by airplane. She could hear all sorts of activity outside- sirens, cars honking, and the occasional yelling. Goldenrod was one of the biggest cities in the Johto region, after all. She shut her eyes, and found it easy to block out all the noise; after all, Celadon City was rather large and bustling with activity as well. When Peaches opened her eyes, she sat up and plucked a PokeBall out of her pocket. "Eevee, come out!" she called. The ball burst open and the petite shape of an Eevee appeared. The Eevee gave a thankful purr, obviously happy to have gotten off the plane. It hopped up next to Peaches and curled up, ready to go to sleep. Peaches gazed upon her Pokemon lovingly, then decided that it would be best if she went to bed, too. Tomorrow, I'll head over to New Bark Town. From there, I might be able to meet Professor Elm and learn about the ins and outs of Pokemon training around these parts. If what Professor Oak said when I toured his lab last year is true, then each region should have a distinct battling style that applies to it. Not to mention new Pokemon... Peaches smiled and climbed under the covers, too tired to even change into her pajamas.
((Does that look okay? Sorry, this post wasn't very productive... I'll catch up with you guys in a bit.))
Kiao - April 20, 2008 03:55 PM (GMT)
((It's fine, and please, feel free to skip to the next day. I can't really do anything at the moment.))
Peaches - April 20, 2008 05:40 PM (GMT)
((Sure thing.))
The next morning, Peaches yawned and sat up. Looking down, she realized that she was still clad in her everyday clothes. "I must've been really KOed," Peaches grumbled. Once she stood up, Eevee, who was rolled into a ball on the edge of the bed, also perked up. With a little trill of happiness, Eevee sprung off the bed. Peaches glanced over at her beloved Pokemon. "Wow, you're sure ready to go." Eevee scratched its ear with its foot in pleasure. "Well, just give me a few minutes," Peaches told her pal, then gave it a pat on the head.
~~~
A bit later, the two were already out of the hotel, Eevee padding alongside her master. "You know, Eevee, I never got the chance to challenge the gym leaders back home because of my two-year wait... how about we try to go against as many gyms as possible before heading home to Kanto?" Eevee squealed in agreement. "Unfortunately, Goldenrod's gym is the third gym. We're going to have to head back to... Violet City, I think." Peaches sighed. "It's a long way, but we can do it." They exited Goldenrod City and walked down the path. Most of the trainers along the road did not bother to challenge Peaches, as they saw that Eevee was significantly weaker in experience than their Pokemon. However, there was one little girl skipping through the tall grass, searching for Pokemon. She looks like a rookie trainer, Peaches thought. She headed towards the girl to challenge her to a battle, but she caught sight of Peaches first- or, rather, her Pokemon.
"Awwww!" the girl cried in delight, and made a beeline for Eevee. "How cuuute! And rare!" Her eyes lit up. "That Eevee's great, you know. I'll trade you!" Eevee's ear went flat against its head in discomfort at the idea. If Peaches had ears like her Pokemon's, they would have done the same. This girl must've just started her training career very recently, Peaches thought. She doesn't really seem to understand trading at all. Of course I couldn't trade my starter Pokemon! What is she thinking?
"Um..." Peaches scratched her chin awkwardly. "Sorry... but no. Eevee is like a daughter to me, even though she's a Pokemon. Sorry, but I would never give her away."
The little girl's eyes went watery and her face flushed as she held up a tiny Pokeball with two fingers. "Not even for my Pikachu...?"
Peaches eyed the ball hungrily. Pikachu were really rare, and she had always wanted one. But for her Eevee? There was still no contest. "Nope," she shook her head.
The girl's lips pursed and her face took on an expression of rage. "Well then, I'll just stomp you flat in a Pokemon battle, then!" Peaches' eyes widened in surprise for a moment, then hardened in understanding. The two trainers backed away from each other, eyes locked in raw combat. "This is it," Peaches whispered excitedly to Eevee, "our first Pokemon battle in the Johto region. You ready?" Eevee growled in anticipation.
"Go, Pikachu!" the girl yelled. The ball, gripped between her chubby little fingers, grew as she tossed it into the arena. A yellow Pikachu with a heart-shaped tail- indicating it as a female- popped out. "Pika!" it squeaked.
"Go, Eevee, go!" Peaches called. Other trainers nearby crowded to watch the battle. There were a few chuckles of "This'll be entertaining," and "Rookie battles are the most fun to watch!" from the cluster of people, but Peaches ignored their remarks. Two whole years of studying battle techniques, and an additional six of being interested with Pokemon in general, Peaches thought assuredly. I'm no ordinary rookie trainer.
"I'm going first," the girl sneered. "Pikachu, Thundershock!" Her companion's cheeks sparked and a jolt of electric energy lashed out. Peaches clench her teeth as the bolt struck Eevee. For a few agonizing seconds, Pikachu's Thundershock continued zapping Eevee, as the small Pokemon writhed and bristled in pain. Finally, the attack ceased, revealing Peaches' Eevee rolled up in a smoldering heap of fur. The little girl looked smug, and Peaches watched. All the panic written on her face before had disappeared, and she looked strangely calm.
The group strung around the arena sighed, and a few grumbled. One trainer exclaimed "It's over already?", but was silenced by a cool stare from Peaches. "What's wrong?" the girl taunted. "Why aren't you crying? I defeated your Pokemon! Quit looking so serious!"
Peaches indifferent expression was broken by a smirk. "Oh, really?" she inquired, cocking her eyebrow at her opponent. As she said this, Eevee crawled out of its defensive postition, and lept to its feet, damaged, but still energetic. The little girl gaped, and Peaches chuckled, "'Not quite done yet, Miss... um..." She paused awkwardly, not knowing her adversary's name. It was customary to introduce yourself before a battle, but the trainers had been in such a hurry that a proper greeting had been out of the order.
Peaches' opponent didn't seem to understand what was being asked of her for a few moments, then mumbled, "My name's Eloise, and I'm gonna beat you, if you just made a move already."
Peaches blinked. Eloise was beginning to come off as a bit of a brat. But she smiled nonetheless. "I'm Peaches," she said with a grin, even though Eloise had not asked for her name. "and if it's a battle you want, well, then..." She reached for the rim of her cap and adjusted it on her head a bit. "...then it's a battle you'll get, Eloise!"
((EDIT- Added a bit more of the battle... unfortunately, it resulted in a gimungous post. @@; Sorry...))
