I felt like seeing how Souru would fight. Anyone up for a little fight?

The arena is an abandoned village that was recently ransacked.

Damn you, I wanted to fight :P

OoC: Alright, I'm going to try out the New Rules (20 posts for the each of us), and the RP starts with this post.

"Crikey! What 'n blazes happened here?!" A concerned cry among harsh silence, a small farming village, abandoned years ago, had just had its eerie silence utterly destroyed by a thick Australian accent. "It's like they all upped and went somewhere..." A slender figure strolled casually through the town, stopping to examine a demolished doorway. "...and in a real 'urry, too." The figure looked into one of the shattered glass windows of another building, peering through the grimy panes to see what he could. Wiping away some of the dirt, Burikaesu Tobu leaned in closer to try to get a better look. Unfortunately, dust had collected on the other side, so all he could see was his own reflection cast against a brownish haze. "Ah, bugger." He pulled away from the window, sighing. "Well, okay then, so this is B-rank mission, I'm supposed to intercept someone passing through this way..." He looked around, his hazel eyes narrowed in concern. "...but I reckon they might have been through here already." He sighed, slumping back against the rickety old house. "But we'll see." And with that, he picked up a piece of shattered wood from the demolished doorway across the street, took out his whittling knife, and began to carve...

Souru slowly slid a kunai out of a now deceased villager. The blood dripped off the kunai. He tossed it aside, hearing an Australian accent. Doing a few hand signs, he made several shadow clones. They all crept out of the ransacked house and leaped away, searching for the noise. A figure rose up slowly on top of a building. It look straight at Tobu and narrowed it's eyes. "It seems they sent a little ninja to try and stop my act of purification. And what village are you from you filthy ninja?" Souru asked harshly.

Tobu ceased his whittling for a moment, looking up at the shadowy figure, eyebrow raised in confusion. "Oh 'ello, mate. I'm from Kusa-er, uh, Konahagakure. That's right. Village Hidden in the Leaves. I love that place, such a wonderful village." He pointed to his head protector, which had the crudely drawn Leaf symbol drawn over the Grass symbol. "And you are?"

Souru narrowed his eyes once more. "If you do not have the decency to be honest, then you do not deserve to live, ninja of the grass village." Souru leaped down off the house, and several copies of him attack from atop other houses at Tobu.

Tobu simply closed and put his whittling knife away, dropping the half-finished carving, made a single handsign, and leaped vertically one hundred and sixty feet into the air, high above the village, easily dodging Souru's attacks. "Haijannpu no Jutsu!" While in the air, he quickly supervised the surrounding area, unstrapping a razor-edged metal boomerang and carefully placing it in his mouth as he descended to earth again. "Dabaru Fukuhon Boomeran no Jutsu!" Two puffs of smoke, and in his two hands, two identical boomerangs appeared as he landed on a rooftop a bit away from Souru and his shadow clones. "You'll need to be quicker than that, mate!" And with that, he tossed the two deadly-sharp boomerangs in two wide arcs, aiming to disperse the clones and possibly strike Souru himself.

Souru put his hands into the ground. "Heh.." Souru put his hands into the air after a couple of seconds and and mud shot out from his the mouths on his palms. "Mud Sphere!" he shouted. A hemisphere of rock-solid mud went over him and his clones.

The boomerangs embedded themselves in the solid rock shielding with a loud shkt, doing no harm. Tobu, raising an eyebrow, took the one out of his mouth and held it in his left hand, examining the dome from the rooftop. "...impressive, mate. Solid rock." He took the boomerang he held in his hand and tossed it towards the rock hemisphere, making handsigns as he did so. Just before the boomerang impacted the earthen fortification, he finished his series of handsigns, narrowing his eyes slightly. "Gufuu Boomeran no Jutsu!" The boomerang stopped on its flight path and begun spinning in circles, streams of wind gradually forming around it, eventually creating a massive cyclone that began to rip apart the rock hemisphere piece by piece...

Souru heard the wind outside the hemisphere. "Damn it!" He saw bits of the wind break the mud-rock. He did a few handsigns. The mouths on the palms of his hands opened wide and "breathed" in some of the wind. After a few seconds, he released the wind..Only stronger. "Cyclone Spiral!" A spiraling tunnel of wind was released. Though it did succeed in stopping most of the wind, it shattered the rock, the bits destroying his clones in the process.

OoC: Sorry for the lack of anything. Have been really busy and thus drained of any interest in RPing. Back to continuity...

BiC: Tobu grinned, with Souru's massive rock barrier shattered and his clones gone, he'd have a better shot. He took out a wood boomerang from his back, solid oak, very sturdy, and tossed it at Souru, making a few handsigns.

Souru thought fast. He took in more earth from the ground and then swiped at the air, taking in air essence. While he morphed the two essences together, he made a few handsigns. "Earth clone jutsu!" The dirt rose up and formed a solid clone of dirt. The clone put itself in front of Souru to block the boomerang.

Tobu finished his handsigns, eyes narrowed a bit. "Kawarimi no Jutsu!" Using the Substitution Jutsu, he suddenly switched places with the boomerang in a puff of smoke. Now moving through the air with the same velocity that the boomerang was traveling at, he shifted his body and bent one of his knees, approaching the earth clone. "Kangaruu Ashige!" Swinging his leg outwards with great force in a powerful kick, he slammed the earthen clone directly in its chest, hopefully with enough force to either destroy it or knock it back to strike Souru himself.

The clone stood in place, seemingly unaffected by the attack. The earth clone had it's "feet" fused with the ground. The earth on the clone started to envelop Tobu's foot.

OoC: There, that should do it.

OoC: Uh...he wasn't hit with the boomerang. Did you read the post?

OoC: Oh, sorry. My monitor is on the fritz, so it cut off half your post. ^^; I'll edit a bit.

Tobu narrowed his eyes, his leg stuck in the clone, and he stood on one leg now directly in front of it, incapable of going anywhere. "Oy, bugger! Leggo of me!" Trying to pull his leg free did no good, so he switched into hand signs. "Kawarimi no Jutsu!" Disappearing in a puff of smoke again, the boomerang was now lodged into the earth clone, with Tobu standing a dozen or so yards away, leaning against a building, rubbing his leg, trying to get the blood through it again...

The earth clone fell to the ground in a cloud of dust. Souru had narrowed eyes as he looked forward towards Tobu. "Hmm. You think well in the heat of battle. I appreciate that." Souru made a handsign and absorbed wood from a nearby building and absorbed a kunai. His hands were "chewing" on the metal and wood as he chuckled. "This next jutsu will spell your death." he said with a slight smirk on his face.

Tobu looked over at him, raising an eyebrow. "Really now? You sound right sure of yourself..." He said, shaking his leg a bit, arm reaching to his back and hand unstrapping another razor-edged metal boomerang from his shoulder, spinning on his finger. He hopped up onto the roof of the building, and flung the boomerang at Souru, aiming for his legs. "Let's see how sure you are after this!" A few seconds after he had tossed the boomerang, he backed up, and took a running jump, following after the boomerang, leaping at Souru, one leg bent...

Souru did a handsign before the boomerang could make contact. "Mudwall jutsu!" A large wall of mud shot up from the ground and solidified. It was about as tall as a house, but it's width filled up the space between the adjacent houses. The downside? Constant chakra was needed. Souru started to lose feeling in his hands from the rapid chakra distribution.
