i'm trying to get some o my chao to mate. first of all, can chaos chao mate with non chaos chao', can they even mate at all? two of my chao are sitting down with circles of flowers around them, i think i'm supposed to get one in the others circle?! is that right? it doesnt seem to work, when i try to put one in anothers circle, it just runs off and starts its own circle. so any help?!

Chaos Chao cannot mate.

You pick up one of the chao in a circle and put it by another one of the chao in the circle. If it doesn't work, try the other one. Or give them both Heart Fruits. That'll do it.
