Title: A New Kind Of Rp Fight
Description: Details enclosed.

I've been noticing how a lot of fights here tend to...not end. This is due to a whole number of factors. This is disappointing for not only the people fighting, but for the people who may be watching as well. It's like watching a movie only to have the latter half of it vanish without you ever learning what happens at the end. So I've decided to make it a bit more...interesting.
As per usual, each fight will take place in its own thread; and a separate thread will be opened for voting and commentary in the new RP Talk subforum. Contestants will compete per usual, only this time, there will only be a certain number of posts allowed. It will follow a very simple and basic formula:
p (number of total posts) = f (total number of fighters) times 20
So, say, if there were two people fighting, then each person would get exactly 20 posts, and the total amount of points would be 40. Basic math, people, it's not hard. This is designed to shorten the duration of fights, prevent them from being drawn out and boring, and thereby keep them interesting.
And here we have a new aspect: the crowd vote. The RP Police will open an commentary and voting thread at the end of each battle. Voting will remain open for one (1) week after the end of the fight. People will vote in that thread on who won the battle and discussion on the fight will be held.
Voting is to be based on:
-spelling and grammatical accuracy
-detailed and interesting posts, but nothing too rambling
-creativity and inventiveness in combat
-being fair (taking hits on occasion, not dodging everything thrown at them, etc.)
Voting is NOT a popularity contest, and I'll be pissed if that's how it goes down. The purpose of voting is so that people don't bicker on who's the clear victor.
The votes will be the deciding factor on who is the victor (unless there is a tie). Any posts in a battle thread by non-combatants will be deleted or moved to an appropriate thread. Please keep commentary on-topic in the commentary/voting threads. If the votes in a particular battle are exactly even, a tie will be declared, and a "neutral posting" will be made by RP Police (something like the arena collapses/explodes/etc. and both combatants for some reason have to get out of there/can no longer fight/etc.).
Keep in mind that the other RPing rules still apply.
Any comments/concerns/complaints?

Interesting enough but I've seen RP Tourny's go on for well over six pages and be interesting the whole way through simply due to the ingenius and quality of the posts being presented.
Is it optional or necessary to use this style for RP Fights? If necessary I believe this'll just discourage people from doing RP Fights anyway =/
I believe that there could be a new RP Forum, just as there was in the past, for RP'ers who have proved their worth in post quality and motivation in which more posts per persons could be allowed simply to prevent limiting people too much, and to seperate the good RP'ists from the dumbass one-time wannabes.

If people want the fight to last longer, simply ask me. I'll allow it to be extended if you both agree. That and if it's good quality.

Yea, I agree, but I think the voters should decide if it lasts longer than the said number of posts, after all it's the fan's decisions that count and if they make up their minds after 12 pages, it doesn't matter what goes on after unless they REALLY want to see more.
