Well, people have been talking about the "missing rules," so I've decided to post them here.

Here at Chao Paradise, we have a few rules and regulations to keep the forum up-and-running and relatively family-fun.

Member Rules

1. Please keep a restraint on swearing unless absolutely necessary.

2. You are not to talk back to staff of any kind. Especially not Kiao. You've been warned.

3. Keep fights to a minimum, and if you do have a fight, try to contain yourselves until an admin or moderator reaches you.

4. When criticizing someone's work (fan art, fan fiction, sprites, etc), you have to have a helpful comment or two. Don't reply to someone's work and say, "I hate it. It sucks." Give the person the reason why it isn't to your liking so that they can work it out, and make their peace of work better. But don't whine.

5. DO NOT steal fan art or sprites of any kind at any time. If you want to use someone's fan art or sprites, give them credit. If an administrator catches you using someone else's work without giving credit, ANYWHERE, and you will be punished for it. No exception.

6. No SPAM outside the SPAM section. That goes for random babble or things like "lkjfahdskjhgsdfklhsadfk BLAHhjhsadlkfjh", and posts that have only smilies.

7. Please use up to three words in each post. (Breaking this rule will not result in consequence, since a lot of people do it. But, it might result in a lot of nagging.)

8. Do not bump topics. The way to tell if you're bumping a topic is to look at the date. If it was made over 3 weeks prior to the current date, then don't reply to it. However, if the topic is Pinned, or it is an RP Topic you have made, then feel free to bump it at any time.

9. Double posting is a no-no. Don't do it.

10. Avatars and signatures may not contain any inappropriate materials. This is including (but not limited to) profanity (unless quoted), YouTube clips, massive pictures, excessive animations, lots of text, songs or song lyrics that may be profane and suggestive in any way, pornography, and the like. Also, at any time, should any member of staff deem an avatar/signature inappropriate, they have the right to remove it, although they must give a reason why first.

11. Avatars must fit AT MOST 100x100, or they will be scaled down to a smaller size or removed.

12. Try not to make massive signatures, as they cause those with slower Internet connections to suffer unbearable load times.

Staff Rules

1. Any changes to the board should be taken up with Sweetie or another admin first.

2. Don't start arguments with members. Remember, we are the example. We need to keep the peace and not stir up trouble.

3. If you see a topic gets out of hand, it's better if it's trimmed so unless the whole topic is nothing but a fight. In which case, delete it. Don't get lazy if the fight is over 2 pages long. It's up to you as staff to get rid of it so that Chao Paradise looks better, and so that information from that topic could still be helpful to others.

4. You aren't above the law. You can still be warned and punished by other Staff.

5. No acting on bias. That includes banning a person because they don't like the same music as you, as an example.

6. No banning for no reason. Banning Game is an exception.

7.Removing another staff's powers without permission of Sweetie or a group vote of the staff is prohibited.

Punishments for Members

1. When you break a rule, you will be given a verbal warning.

2. When you break a rule twice, you will receive Warnings from staff. If your Warning Level reaches 100%, you will be temporarily suspended (up to a week depending on the severity of your actions) and your Warning Level will be reduced back to 0%.

3. If your Warning Level reaches 100% three times, you will be suspended for a month.

4. From that point, the next time your Warning Level reaches 100%, you will be banned. Your name and posts may also be edited to humiliate you.

Punishments for Administrators/Moderators

1. When you break a rule, you will be given a verbal warning.

2. When you break a rule twice, you will receive another verbal warning.

3. When you break a rule twice, you will receive Warnings from staff. If your Warning Level reaches 100%, you will be temporarily suspended (up to a week depending on the severity of your actions) and your Warning Level will be reduced back to 0%. You will also have your powers removed for a period equal to your suspension after you return.

4. If your Warning Level reaches 100% three times, you will be suspended for a month, and your powers will not be returned to you.

5. From that point, the next time your Warning Level reaches 100%, you will be banned. Your name and posts may also be edited to humiliate you.

But may I add something? Sweetie said that staff members are indeed allowed to double post, so would that result in one of the following punishments?

Otherwise, thank you SO MUCH for putting these rules up here. They seem sensible, and another good part is that there aren't a million topics concerning the "new" rules. I think that maybe we should just edit Kiao's post- *slapped* -no, lemme continue!- and just add more rules when the need for a new rule pops up. :P It's better than ten topics updating the same thing over again.

Yea, we seriously need to think about getting more staff. The only ones that visit somewhat frequently, are kiao and peaches.

we don't need more staff. How many NON-staff members visit here frequently? (I'm barely one of them).

But if you think about it, there's nothing for the staff to do... the spambot rush has paused, and no one has been going on a cussing rampage (yet). Actually, I haven't taken any staff-ly action in weeks! *suddenly starts feeling bored*

Plus, SS and Sweetie have been visiting a bit more often too, so that's a plus. :3

Yes, you do swear much outside of CP.

I there should be another, as stated in Spam, one of the only reasons I will ban someone is if u cnsntly liek 2 tlk n dis typ o lnguge lulz. Typos are acceptable, but learn the English language before you try typing it.

Also for the Bumping Rule, fanfictions should be another exception, assuming it's yours of course.

You can also set to not to look at people's signatures in posts on the forum, so people can keep them at a size they fancy and you don't have to worry about your internet committing suicide.

Plus a few other things I'd like to add, that were from my old list of rules that I think should still be kept in tact.

1. Don't post posts such as "I agree" or "Same with me", they don't contribute to the topic, at all, whatsoever. If you're going to say you agree, at least put a valid reason for it. This isn't an MSN chatroom.

2. Make sure you have at least 30 posts before you advertise, we want members here who are valuable members to the community, if you're here to just advertise, this will prohibit you from doing so for a while. And if you just rack up your post count to do it by posting "ajdfh" in every post, you will be given a ban.

9. No NSFW links or images that aren't labeled NSFW.

10. Sort of the above rule, do not quote posts that contain NSFW content, for members still get access to it.

11. Don't make topics promoting the use of firearms, illegal weapons, drugs, alcohol, emulators, violence, adultery racism, sexism, homophobic stuff, mistreatment to animals and the enviorment, and to a certain extent, sedation.

17. If an image of yours breaks the table, link it instead.

Well, Ultrabyte, Star, Melody, and Espio are gone for good, but Espio comes on so infrequently he almost doesn't count. Lance, Kiao, and I are here every day, but we only post when we feel like it, like Peaches and Tails, another former staff member. Kero's pretty inactive lately, and Topaz is here sometimes. I think that's all the main staff covered.

Star and Melody aren't coming back though, but a lot of people here still remember them, and the newer ones haven't met them, sorry guys.

Supa wasn't all that bad. There was that one guy that Fuzzy fought with almost daily and eventually banned, then there was that guy who started that bead sprites argument (I swear I don't know him -.^) and then Arcy was a moron screaming "Kill me Please". Supa was much better than the three of those jerks =D

I thought you meant pronography or satan-worshipping or spam sites. That'd have been bad. Posting offensive language? That's been done before, an in much worse proportion than "redneck". "Dumbass" is even fairly weak as it's a mindless insult with nothing behind it other than overall irritation. =/
