Arena: A large round metal platform with a donut-like hole in the middle. The platform is approximately 600 feet in diameter, the hole 100 feet in diameter. The platform is surrounded by water, there is nothing above.

Advantage: Both Nessie and Ferith have control of water and Ice, no advantage. Ferith's secondary is light, Nessie's is darkness. No advantage

Rules:

Aiding one or both of the players is not allowed by bystanders

First one to die, surrunder, or be knocked unconscious loses

Ferith yawned lazily, waiting for his opponent to enter the donut-shaped battlefield. He wasn't very scared, from what he had heard his opponent was a chao. A chao! Ferith almost laughed at the thought of beating down the small critter. Of course, he had heard the chao had control over water... this set them on equal footing. That'd be an interesting battle.

A water spout burst from the water, nessie rode atop it. He did a front flip, and landed on the platform. He looked around. "Don't know why a stupid human wanted to battle me..." A swirl appeaered above his head. "Do they seriously think I'm that weak?" He saw Ferith standing on the platform. "Your my opponet?" He had to keep from laughing. "Are you serious?"

"You're laughing at me? C'mon, I'm a trained mercenary, you're a tiny little chao. What do you have to laugh about?" Ferith blinked a couple times, and then sent a small like flick of water towards Nessie's head, changing it's temperature so it froze to ice before impact.

Nessie blincked. The small flick of water, turned back to water, and dripped harmlessly off his body. Nessie looked at the small puddle of water on the ground, and a question mark appeared above his head. "Was that suposed to be an attack? I wasn't really paying attention."

"Let me have my fun," Ferith muttered. Tightly gripping his blade Fertih dashed forward and leapt into the air, flipping twice before he brought his large blade down in the direction of Nessie's head.

Nessie's body, dematerialized into water, then reformed behind him, and aimed his blade for the middle of his back.

Ferith was shocked at the dissapearence, but his shock quickly turned into a smile as he turned around and put up his left arm, his Armith blocking the incoming blade. He had seen water dematerialization before. Next time that chao tried it, he'd freeze him.

"This'll be fun!" Ferith muttered, smiling. He hadn't smiled like that for a while... he hadn't had this much fun in a while.

Nessie looked at him suspicously. "What's so funny?"

( I`ll use Avarice) Avarice saw the two fighting and he had his sword in hand.

Ferith took advantage of the situation to spontaneously break out into a spin, his broadsword sweeping around in a small spinning circle of death.

Nessie managed to jump back, getting a small cut on his arm. Nessie, held his sword back, then jumped forward, going into a maddining mid-air spin, right towards Ferith.

Ferith stopped the spin and lost his balance, nearly falling. His vision righted itself just in time to see Nessie coming down in Ferith's direction. Ferith raised his broadsword and blocked, being pushed down and off of hs feet and being smashed into the floor.

Nessie landed on top of ferith, twisted his sword around in his hand, ignored the pain, his cut gave, and plunged his blade towards ferith's face.

Avarice casted haste on himself then charged at the two.

Ferith's left leg flew up and caught on the hilt of Nessie's blade, bocking it. Almost instantly after Ferith's other leg flew into the air towards the back of Nessie's head, Ferith slightly twisting his body to allow the change.

OOC: Yah, a chao is how big? One foot? Ferith is how big? 5'8"? What kind of crack are you on? =P

"Huh?" The foot struck nessie in the back of the head, he rolled forward off of ferith. Then took notice of avarice. "What the hell-" He simply sidestepped avarice, and watched him continue to run forward.

Avarice jumped up and used the skill Crack Beat at both Nessie and Ferith.

A thick layser of water flew up in front of nessie. It hardened to ice, blocking the attack, then broke into sharp crystals, aiming at both ferith, and avarice.

Ferith melted the icre crystals coming in his direction and leapt to the side, rolling back onto his feet into a defensive stance.

Nessie, held his blade in the air, daring ferith to attack.

Ferith took the invitation and dashed, swinging his broadsword in two arcs in front of him as he neared Nessie, aiming for his head.

Nessie quickly held his sword in front of him, like a shield. The two blades collided, and sparks danced off of their blades. Nessie's eyes, flared purple, and he quickly, pushed away from the conflict, once again going into a maddining mid-air spin.

Ferith was prepared for the technique this time and leapt under Nessie, rolling out of the way and lunging towards the chao's back

OOC: This is a mentally taxing fight. I can't imagine this without cracking up. Seriously, a 5'8" trained mercenary fighting a tiny 1-2 foot chao <.<'

Nessie dropped to the ground, and ferith was directly over him. Nessie aimed his sword at ferith's head.
