This is like a sonic RP, only you use chao instead of animals! It involves your character looking for the chaos emeralds, for the person who raised him/her. They can be anywhere in the world, and Two different chao, can look for the same emerald. There can be fighting. Anyway, who wants to join?

Technically chao are animals but yeah I'll join if anyone else does.

Ook, I'm late, shoot!

Wow, I didn't think it'd become this popular. O.O Anyway, this starts tommorow around 3:30. Be there, or be square.

I'm in, but I might not be on at that specific time.

Ok, this RP officialy begins now.

I'll start:

Speedy was running through the african plains. He had a shady hat on, and a canteen swaying from the motion at his side. He was leaving a trail of dust behind him as he ran, Beeing a speed chao, he was going at a very fast pace. "C'mon, shadow said there was a chaos emerald on this continiet." He stopped to catch his breath, and drink from his canteen. "There's no way of finding a chaos emerald in the middle of nowhere!!!!" He shouted at the sky. He looked at his sorroundings. There were some giraffes in the distance. "How am I suposed to know where the chaos emerald is..." He drank some more, then took off in another direction.

<sub>Sweetie the tails chao sighed and took a deep, deep breath. She was slightly dehydrated and tired as she searched for the missing purple chaos emerald. She looked up at a huge palm tree, then looked behind it at the vast ocean before her. Her toes made a light crunching noise against the sand beneath her. Her bangs were plastered to her forehead due to the undeniable and brutal heat wave that stretched across the island. "Puerto Rico has nothing to offer me," she thought to herself. "I've searched all the beaches and cities with no luck at all." She plopped her body on the ground and leaned against the palm tree, looking at the ocean. "I guess I'll have to take flight tommorow and search another island... or maybe I should try a continent... Maybe Africa... since I'm already used to this heat." She took one of her tails and tugged at it in contemplation. "That sounds good. I'll leave tommorow morning." She looked at the sun slowly making it's way down toward the horizon. "This had better be worth it. April told me it would be..."

Speedy finnaly came to a stop as the sun began to set in the horizon, and the sounds of the night took over the sounds of the day. "Wow, Night came really fast... I guess I better find a good place to sleep for the night." He noticed a glinting in the distance. He was over there in a few seconds. It wasn't a chaos emerald, but the reflection of the moon on the shimmering water of an oasis. "Guess this'll have to do." He laid on the ground next to the water's side, and was soon fast asleep.

( Yea, it's fine.)

"I just don't get it. What's so special about these emeralds anyway?" Day sighed and shook her head. She paused in her relentless searching to examine a blade of grass . . . it was very shiny. And wet after the evening rain.

The fact that it had rained at all was pretty weird. The particularly dry prairie stretched endlessly in front of Day . . . in all this time traveling it, she had only seen two trees, five really big rocks, and a herd of huge horses. There was a lake in the middle of the grassland, and that was were the herd was headed the last time Day had seen them. She had stopped there to freshen up some, and search for the emerald. Her efforts had proved to be in vain.

Another, deeper, longer sigh emanated from Day's chest and vocals. It had been a long day, and now she decided that she would find a place to rest. There had to be another tree somewhere around here!

If only she had Star's ability to track . . . if only Star had come with her.

((Referring to the chao Star, not the fox.))

Night had come and gone fast in africa. Speedy, sat up and rubbed his eyes. He stood to his feet, and stretched his legs and feet. He yawned, and pulled his hat, over his head to sheild himself from the intense heat. He reached for his canteen, and held it open over his mouth, when he realized, that wasn't water in there. He quickly moved it over the ground, and a sticky clear goo, fell from it. "What the heck..." He quickly refilled the canteen in the oasis. "I don't know what could've changed water to goo, but I don't wanna stick around here to find out." He took off, leaving a dust cloud behind him.

The sun had risen to almost the center of the sky, and Day was still sleeping. Why was obvious: she had spent the past day and night searching, without a single second of rest. It seemed she would be sleeping the entire day.

But, through some kind of miracle (exaggeration), she yawned, stretched, and sat up. With a little difficulty, she opened her eyes, blinked a few times, then rubbed them with her right arm. She finally stopped after two minutes and looked up at the sky.

"Oh! I slept the first half of the day away!" she gasped, jumping up and turning around, only to fall back onto her tail feathers. With some effort she stood up and firmly planted both her feet on the ground. After she got her sense of balance back, she calmly looked around, and turned around again, heading in that direction to look for the emerald.

As speedy was running,he took a quick look behind him.Lions were starting to chase after him. "Should've seen this coming." Speedy, quickly blew around the dust behind him,into a mini whirlwind. it wasn't strong, but it was strong enough to lift the lions,off their feet and threw them a few feet away, enough to send them running."I don't have time for you animals." He increased his speed, and,left a lot of dirt still floating in the air behind him.

Kiao was sitting up in a nearby acadia tree, reclining against the spread branches, and eating what appeared to be a cooked zebra leg, which was about the length of his body. "I love them lions. They really know how to take down a meal..." He grinned, and took another massive bite out of the zebra leg. Looking around the grassy savanna, he noticed a spontaneous whirlwind appear a couple hundred yards away. He noticed a few lions also sprinting away from the site of this unexplained maelstrom. "'Ey! What's that over there, messin' with my lion buddies!? I'm not gonna stand for that!" He continued to look around, and then noticed the massive streaking dust cloud that Speedy left behind as he ran. "What in the...man! That thing is fast! I'd better check it out!" And with that, he leaped off the branch of the tree, and flew towards the dust cloud, still munching on the massive zebra leg.

"Huh?" Speedy, looked behind him. A flying object, he could not identify was starting to chase him. "I do not have time for this..."He just increased his speed further, the dust cloud growing larger behind him.

By the end of the second day, Day still had no luck locating the emerald. She walked slowly, dragging her feet, having been flying (and running, when her wings got really tired) until nightfall.

After a few more steps, she fell forward and lay there, eyes half open and breathing slightly labored. With a monumental amount of effort and will power, she pushed herself into a sitting position and stared up at the sky. The stars weren't even out yet. Maybe that was a good thing. She could get up really early tomorrow, to keep looking.

Something told her she was going the right way, but nothing was telling her she was anywhere NEAR it yet.

((You don't have to go on the same time frame as I am. I'll just wait until night falls for UDC, Kiao, etc.))

Speedy, looked behind him. Whatever the thing that was following him was, it was gone now. Speedy stopped to catch his breath. He took a drink from his canteen, and looked into the sky. Vultres were beggining to circle the corpse of what appeared to be a zebra. "Still no luck with finding that emerald... I know I'm going in the right direction, but where could it be?" He took another quick drink, then took off again, large clumps of dirt thrown into the air behind him. He could somehow feel the pressence of some object, and it had ressidual energy pouring from it. "Hope it's the emerald." He sped on faster. Night began to fall over africa. Speedy, didn't stop to sleep. He had an emerald to find, and wasn't going to stop until he found it.

Kiao had started to gain on the quickly moving object, when suddenly it gave off a massive burst of speed and disappeared in a dust cloud. Caught off guard, Kiao flew directly into the dust cloud, which disoriented him and caused him to drop his zebra leg. "Ack! Nooooo!" He crashed into the ground, and stood up as the dust cleared, his chao flame in the form of a swirl. "Weeeeeeeeeak!" He picked up the dirty, nasty remains of his munchies, and held it over his head. "REVENGE! REVEEEEEENGE!" His chao flame flaring brightly as the sun started to set, and Kiao continued in the direction that he had last seen the runner go...

Speedy continued to speed forward until he felt some pressense. He screeched to a halt, and lokked around. "What could be giving off ethereal energy?" Speedy, pressed the side of his head to the ground, gasped, and jumped back quickly. Two giant mouthparts, rose from beneath the ground, then closed together where speedy had just been standing. It rised out of the ground, until a pure bloodred eye, stared at speedy, with insane hunger. It dove back below the ground. Speedy recalled what he had just seen. "Two crocodile looking mouthparts, with an eye that belongs to pretadors..." Speedy quickly recaped on what he had been taught at chao academy, and about the chaos emeralds. Flashback: "If the chaos emerald has come in contact with some ethereal being, it may open a passageway, for unnatural creatures to be created. "Speedy recalled what he had just saw again. "Unatarul creatures... That must mean the chaos emerald is close!" Completely forgeting about the creature, he took off again.

Kiao continued to fly low to the ground at a great speed, his chao flame flaring intensely, murmuring violently to himself, mourning the loss of his food. He followed the footprints of whatever it was, the speed of which it was traveling left footprints that were more like streaks of dirt than actual tracks. There was no way Kiao could determine what it was, but this only made him angrier. At which point, the strange otherworldy crocodile that Speedy had encountered earlier rose out of the ground and knocked him flat on his back again. "Ow, weeeeak!" Kiao got up, dazed and disoriented, and in a rage, drew his Kaboom, and aimed it at the strange creature. But as he got a better look at it, the strange weirdness of it unnerved him, and he lowered his aim. "What in the hell?" The creature snarled at him, glaring at him with its one red eye, snarling its rows of semitransparent grayish teeth. Kiao looked back at it, looking it up and down, watching its movements carefully. "...I wonder how you taste?"

Lance was seen in a building in a seemingly deserted city. He was starting to jab and punch at a bag, and doing some aerial attacks as well. "If I'm going to find these chaos emeralds, my as well be prepared. Who knows what trouble could lay ahead... OH I CAN'T WAIT!!!" Lance was so filled with excitement he accidently tore a hole in the punching bag, and slightly looked at it in disbelief. "Well, that's phase one, now for some pull ups!"

Hours later, Lance had finished his daily workout and was about to go searching for the chaos emeralds, and stuck a cuban cigar in his mouth and a trench coat his size, as well as a miniature pistol that has handible by his mechanical right arm. He was ready to envoke on his journey, "If I was a chaos emerald where would I be..." Lance pondered for a few moments, and thought, "Well, cats like shiny objects, and these emeralds are shiny beyond compare. Tigers are a bit to stealthy and powerful for my tstes, so for the next obvious place, the African Savvanah!"

Lance thought it wasn't worth it to fly all the way to the plains from where he was staying in Europe (also considering he was almost dead tired from his workout), so he decided to take a Toy Plane he found in an abandoned house, "Tight fit... but it's better than using my own wings. Chao emerald. prepare t o be conjoured by Lance!" and with that, Lance had taken a slow lift off, and began his journey to the plains.

Speedy was still running. "Man, I'm getting tired..." He stopped to catch his breath. He sat on the ground, and crossed his legs, Breathing heavily. He looked up. The moon was still high in the sky, but the sun was beggining to break on the far horizon. "Almost dawn huh?" He thought for a moment. "It can't hurt to rest for a second can it?" He laid on his back, with his hands, under his head. "I haven't done this in a long...." His eyes darted open. He rolled to the side, as a giant crab claw burst from the ground where he had been laying. "Great... another one..." The crabclaw latched onto the ground, and a giant shell protruded from the ground, followed by, the rest of the crab's body. "I thought crabs stuck close to the water..." His mind flashed back to the oasis. "Ah..." The crab's claw lunged at him, speedy jumped to the side, and five metal claws grew from his fingers. (Sort of like freddy krougar's blades , but a little smaller) Speedy, executed an uppercut on the crab's arm. The disembodied arm, fell to the ground, and the crab screamed in pain. Speedy flexed his claws around. "Wanna try that again?" The crab quickly burrowed back into the ground. "That's what I thought."His claws retracted back into his fingers, and he took off again, looking for a safer place to rest.

_{Sweetie flew across the African sahara in hopes of sensing the power that came from the chaos emerald. Then she spotted a chao running. "Hmm... I wonder what he's doing here." She flew above him, but at a far distance, and observed him.}

Speedy finnaly found a nearby oasis. He stopped, and leaned on his knees, taking deep heavy breaths. "Hopefully, I'll be able to run again, after I get some rest..." He collapsed to the ground, rolled over on his back, and pulled his shady hat over his eyes. In a few minutes, he started snoring, fast asleep.

_{Sweetie landed in a tree in the oasis and watched the chao as it fell asleep. "Hmm... I guess I'll just hang out here for a while." She thought to herself. She wrapped her tails around her body and crouched into the top of the palm tree. "Ahhh."}

Speedy found he only slept for about an hour. He opened his eyes, "What the... I can't see anything!" He sat up, then realizing it was only his shady hat, placed it back on the top of his head, his face flushed red from emberassment. He went for another swig of his canteen. It wasn't there. "What?" He felt for it again. Still not there. "Where did it go?" He looked in the water, he looked where he had been sleeping, nothing. "Where did it go?" He looked up at a palm tree. "Hmmm, I haven't checked up there yet." He gripped the bottom of the tree, and began climbing up.

_{Sweetie looked as the chao climbed up her palm tree. "Oh crap," she thought to herself. She jumped up into the air and started to fly, her tails spinning so fast that they made a blur behind her. She floated above the tree and looked at the strange chao.}

Speedy hadn't seen sweetie fly out of the tree. He climbed to the top of the tree, and felt through the leaves. "Nothing here..." He jumped from the tree. And scratched his head. "Where could it have gone?" Speedy shrugged his shoulders, and took off running well over 70 MPH, Leaving a gicantic dust cloud behind him.

Kiao stared down the otherworldly crocodile, as it glared back. They began circling each other, with the Kaboom in the middle. Kiao looked at it, and back at the crocodile. The crocodile snarled, and continued to glare back at Kiao. For additional dramatic effect, a tumbleweed rolled by. "...you feelin' lucky, croc?" Kiao snarled, attempting to make himself sound as much like the Duke as he could. The crocodile hissed back a reply. "Well then...let's see who's faster on the draw..." Kiao dove for the Kaboom...

-one disappointing fight scene later-

Kiao was shooting along the path, hovering lower to the ground. Kaboom hoisted over his shoulders, spattered with what looked like black ooze. Under each eye, he had two black streaks of the strange ooze material. His eyes were narrowed with determination, and his grin was wide with anticipation, as he approached the dust cloud again. Around Kiao's neck, he wore a necklace of jagged and broken crocodile teeth, which only seemed to add to his formidable appearance.

And by 'formidable appearance,' this is only by Chao standards. He's only, like, two feet tall, for Christ's sake.

Nessie speeded on, still wondering what happened to his canteen. "How am I gonna survive in this place now..." He once again picked up on the emerald's signature. "It's close... I can feel it... If I only knew how to pinpoint it's exact location..." Just then, the ground began to shake. "What the..." One of the biggest crocodile thingies, yet rose from the ground, open-mouthed, directly in front of speedy. Speedy blinked, And the crocodile lunged forward, his mouth landing right where speedy had been, the crocodile lifted it's head into the air, and a slight bulge could be seen traveling down it's throat. The crocodile sat there, satisfied, and content, before diving back under the ground, in search of where he had last heard the cries of his brother crocodile...

Kiki broke into a run, for someone was chasing after her. "They'll never capture me," she said to herself. A moment later she was cornered. She smirked and turned bright blue, her wings starting to flap. It had become eerily silent and the air'd grown still. She had dissapeared. Not good at magic yet, she fell onto the area where the crocodile had been. "Ow... Uh..." her eyes couldn't focus. Seconds later, a glow came from the ground... Could it be? "The emerald..." Her eyes sparkled at its pretty glow and she reached for it... No such luck, a hawk had grabbed her by the wing. Screams escaped her throat as she was carried off.

As the crocodile travleled it noticed something was wrong. it's prey was still alive. illogical. There was a sudden pain in it's stomach, and it raced for the surface, and broke through it, roaring in pain. A bulge appeared in it's stomach, and exentually the bulge broke through. Speedy came flying out, soaked in crocodile blood, and saliva. Sppedy rushed towards the ground, his claws growing from his fingers, He rebounded off the ground, and aimed for the croc's neck. There was a flash, and speedy was on the other side of the crocodile. The crocodile's head slid from it's shoulders, and hit the ground. Speedy landed on the ground, followed by the rest of the crocodile's body landing behind him. He was splattered in the same blood kiao had on him. He reached into the dead croc's mouth, and pulled out his canteen. "DON'T EVEN THINK OF STEALING ANYTHING FROM ME EVER AGAIN!!!!!" He shouted at the crocodile's severed head. He wiped some saliva from his face, and took off running again, to where he heard the muffled sounds of screaming while he was in the croc... ( BTW, You can't like find the emerald on the very first post.)

Kiao arrived upon the scene, just in time to see Speedy kill and sprint away from the dead otherworldly crocodile. "...So THAT'S what the fast thing was!" He grinned. "So it's just another chao. A really, really fast chao, but a chao nonetheless..." He took to hovering again. "I think I can take it." And with that, he shot after Speedy.

"Hm?" Speedy glanced behind him. The thing from earlier was... a chao? "It was just another chao? What does he want?" Speedy screeched to a halt, and waited for the chao to catch up. "Why are you following me?" he asked kiao.
