Feed it tons of green drives.
Raise it with a dark character.
Done
First it will be green, blue, and black; then if you keep feeding it green drives it will turn red and black

Feed it lots of green drives. And be sure to raise it with a Dark Character(Shadow, Eggman, Rouge). And hit it a lot.(j/K)
:scared Too EASY!!! First, hatch a regular two toned chao (blue/Yellow one you start with) If you want a normally colored shado chao. Say you want it blue, your shadow chao will be blue. But if you do it with normal colors, Give it either Wart hogs, cheetahs, or rabbits, to raise its run stat, or green drives. When It evolves, it will resemble shadow in shape, but his highlights will be blue, not red. About 9 full HUMAN hours in his garden, (I sugest leaving your gamecube on.) but when it is close to 9 hours old, give it nothing but green animals and when It goes into a tear shaped cocoon for the SECOMD time, It will be a Shadow chao!
