If you want to put more detail into your characters, this profile setup should help. Everything on the left side of the ':' should be underlined to make it easier to see.

Name: Your character's name.

Nicknames: Your character's nickname(s).

Age: Your character's age. Be specific.

Gender: Male, female. Possibly androgynous or trans. If you're into that stuff.

Height: Be specific. Meters/centimeters or feet/inches preferably.

Rank: only applies to certain things, i.e if your character is in some sort of army/is a ninja/gives him(her)self medals/etc.

Weight: Be specific. Pounds (lbs) or grams (g) please.

IQ: Your character's Intelligence Quotient. Basically, how smart your character is on a scale from 100-200. (<100 if your character is mentally incapable, >200 if your character is a super-genius)

Residence: Where your character lives.

Alignment: What loyalties your character happens to have. Or just plain Light/Dark, Good/Evil, whatever. Possibly Neutral.

Special Attacks: Your character's special attacks and a description of them. The name of the attacks should be in italics.

Abilities & Aptitude: What your character is good at. His/her natural skills.

Hobbies & Talents: Activities your character does for fun. Unique special skills.

Weaknesses: Your character's weaknesses.

Likes/Favorite activities: What your character likes to do.

Dislikes/Least favorite activities: What your character doesn't like to do.

Gourmet of choice: Your character's favorite food.

Beverages of choice: Your character's favorite drinks.

Favorite color(s): Your character's favorite color(s).

Personality: Your character's personality.

Physical Appearance: What your character looks like.

Skin Color: Your character's skin color.
Eye Color: Your character's eye color.
Hair Style: Your character's hair style.
Hair Color: Your character's hair color.
Other bodily features: Other unique physical traits that help identify your character.

Attire: What your character wears.

Items & Weapons: Your character's equipment, and weapons.

Back Story: A short biography of your character.

If you want more detail for your profile you may use this one (you may also cut out the Sonic Rider and Basketball Stats. Sonic Rider Stats usually have 2 stars for the cornering. And TRY to make all stats go with your character. (Most of the time I use the Intelligence stats on Basic Stats as the limit for magic users.)):

Hm... oh yeah! UDC just reminded me of something.

Tactic's has something somewhat important in his profile that Kiao doesn't- a section talking about friends or family. That, I think, is kind of important, especially if you want to introduce your character's friend into the world of RPing. And also so I don't have to explain everything in the Back Story... *grumble grumble*
