Title: School Stress
SuperSonicChao - January 13, 2007 07:27 AM (GMT)
So yeah, a topic about grades. I believe I came back to school not even 1 month back yet and I came with full straight A's, completely confident that I could survive without having to go to Homebound again.
I didn't really care about my grade at the time, though, sense it remained at A for a week. It was pretty easy keeping it up, and I was finnaly getting back with the class after being a month behind, learning the things on my own.
Apparently, that backfired on me.
This whole week we had something called the;
"9 Weeks Exam"
Which is where we take a test on the things we've learned in the past 9 weeks. I wasnt' there for the past 9 weeks, but I did read up on things.
So, I was confident and sure that would pass them all.
The highest grade I got in that whole week of tests: 65
The only grade that was passing, which was in Science, which is the first time I've ever had a grade so low. =/
Every Test In Science I've ever had sense this year was 100, and 104, for I only took 2 tests.
Now I get a 65!
And now suddenly, as my grades go lower, everything seems to just be magically dissapearing. I would have it one period, the next 5 minutes it would be gone. I'm usually completely stressed out at school 24/7, including that "incident" that happened in the lunch room . . .Please refrain from asking questions. . .Also, it's pretty stressful, for the whole day I have to wear ear muffs with earplugs in my ears. Apparently, it hurts after the 2 periods which I start complaining too, and I don't really want to complain about the only thing letting me have an education, or at least going into society.
I had straight As and a 95-96% average for the 2 marking periods. Just like it magically did in 7th grade, it's going to go from. . .
95%
To 80%
Down to 60 then hopefully back up again. So y'know, I can ask one thing.
Can you help me?
Is it maybe I'm thinking too much on things? Just the other day I woke up and reached for the clock trying to get the number 1,000,000 that I saw on it. . .Once I got it, it said 8:24. . .My sister, who is in training to be a Psychologist, asked me what time it was.
I said 8:24
She said what's after it
I said 8:23 3 Times untill I finally got it, and even then, I didn't get it. I'm hoping it was because I'm tired.
But yeah, help please?

(Isn't 3 weeks old, so yeah.)
Not one single reply? I'm going to school tommarow so it doesn't really matter anyways.
Honestly, I doubt I'll past 8th grade.

Well, I wasn't really sure what to say...
First of all, if you've had good grades in the past, then I think you'll pass. :P But perhaps your mind is somewhere else and you can't concentrate, even if you can't quite put your finger on what it is? I dunno, it just might be one of those "off" days/months. Who knows.

I still fail'd the important tests of the semester. =/
And even then, I don't want to pass with missing important things from the school year. When I came back, Math class made me cry. . .Literally.
Science made me sore, and Reading. . .Was nice. o.o'

science is EVIL and so is math. I got a 72% On science today, on my final. I just BARELY passed. and I got an 88% in math, but it was still really hard...

I think that your just worrying to much about your grades, that is what causes me to do bad. Almost same thing happened to me. I almost got grounded for getting a C+. That's just reminds me, I have a science test today. Meh.

Bioligy? Is that what you have? I have physical sience.

Actually it was an excuse to get children out of working in factories during the industrial revolution. Someone it survived until today.

No, I have earth science. ^^
Actually, I like school. It's a good way to relieve me of stress, gets my mind working on something else. I'm usually always stressed out by all of the people that come to my house.

As I will not disclose what grade I'm in, cuz it will give out my age,
I am going through a similar crisist, or at least I was going through it.
Now I haven't read any replys, so spare me if I repeat.
Don't stress about school, relax, don't get worked up, heck, sleep in last period. Because I relaxed and my grades went up after spiraling down .
Whatever.

I agree, even with the sleeping in class part! =D *raises up giant card that has a number 10 on it, then falls asleep on school desk*

Bad news.
I'm suddenly diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder and my old Psycholigist, (who's now in Jail. . .bad put off, eh?) was giving me the wrong medicine this whole time. It was a very STRONG pack of medicine too, never effected me though.
I'm going back to homebound. School is just too stressful. I got my report card, I lost 20 poitns in Science and now i have a 77.
Gosh, those kids are so annoying. I had 5 bad looks that day, and those are the only one counting. When I was sitting outside the lunch room because I couldn't go in, pretty much the whole team was looking at me. The "look" is just stressful.
Gosh, If my science teacher didn't come in that very momment, I'd be going through my little episodes, so yeah.
I don't have to worry anymore. They're thinking of bring me to a "special" school with psycholigists and medicines and all, but I don't want to go. I'm going back to home bound.
Note:: Yes, school is a very important thing. Without school, there would be no difference from a 10 year old from a 15 year old. :<
Well, it depends. If the person just stays home and sits in one room, not learn at all, no difference. They'd be the same. o.o'
But then again, I hear the brain's size is more similar to a child's size as we reach teenage years. =/
Knuxteam - January 31, 2007 01:25 PM (GMT)
The diffrence between a 10 yearold and a 15 yearold is puberty, my friends.
I know 15 yearolds in the 7th grade.
Wow.
Peaches - January 31, 2007 11:16 PM (GMT)
Wow, SSC. That's amazing, but not in a good way.
I mean, Anxiety Disorder? Oh my God... *hugs*

I started puberty at 6. . .
._.
My aunt use to make fun of my. . .errr "Hair" at 7. o.o'
Gosh, taht was embarrasing.
@Peaches: Meh, that's nothing. They say I might also be getting paranoi and I've been wrongly diagnosed with Conversion Disoder.
