Title: I'm Such An Oldie...
Description: >_>;

Recently, I've been totally obsessive over the Beatles. It only happened a few days ago, and they're already my favorite band.

So just discuss Beatles music and everything...

Woo! The Beatles. My favorite song is 'Oh-Bla-Dee Oh-Bla-Da'. You?

My little sister just bought a Beatles CD at the book store last week. I like "Help!" (but I had already heard and liked a clip of that song at this website about Music Reversals. It's really interesting. The song seems like it would also sound good played backwards)

I really like oldie music as well, and am a big fan, but The Beatles are incredibly overrated.

Hoenstly, I don't see why they were as famous as they were tbh. :/

I think it has to do with them sounding different from other bands (well started out different anyway) in the music era that they were in. And stuff out of the ordinary is normally overrated? But then again, I wouldn't know because I wasn't alive back then.

I don't really like them because their songs are kinda plain (although I've only heard one album) and I'm into music with the synthesized instruments, but I like how that particular song is because the tune is weird, both regularly and reversed.

EDIT: Oh, and there was this other song... I can't remember what it was called...

@Jay Kay: Yeah, how they got so famous is beyond me. But I disagree about the overrated part.

@Jaguar: You mean Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da? Yeah, I love that one. =)

I can't see how you disagree about that tbh. :/

Their songs are plain/good/better than average. Nothing marvelous that deserved them global fame.

Maybe it's 'cause I've just always really liked the Beatles...

Anyhow, it's your opinion. My friends weren't big about the Beatles until we found out we were doing Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band for a singing concert at our school. @@;

While listening to the CD my sister bought in the truck earlier this week, I just found another song I like from them, called "All My Loving". I just don't like how it's only 2:11 long.

SilentStrike - October 17, 2006 12:35 AM (GMT)
My favorite song has got to be 'Strawberry Fields'

Then there's yellow submarine, Lucy in the Sky (With Diamonds), Yesterday, Let It Be, ...

Brings back memories of when I was young. ^.^

I used to listen to the Beatles with my dad all the time in the car.

This month is actually my first time hearing any of their songs (except for that reversed clip of "Help!", and a comercial). The other songs on the album are OK, though not that great. But it's because I go for a lot on background music (vocals also, but blended in).
