Okay, okay. I'm all like doing work in science, when Nelson walks by, and Cody, the guy who sits at my table in science class is all like, "Nelson likes you!" And Nelson was all like, "Dude! I told you not to tell her!" And then walked away. But I have no clue if he was playing along with Cody's joke, or if it was true... O.o
Anyway, anybody gotta explanation?

Boy says phrase, though it would be obvious to Cat/Mariene since Cat could hear the phrase in broad daylight, making Cat think he might of been joking about that, but since said boy did that to probably trick said Cat, boy covers up feelings for boy's classmate, Leo thinks. I think he means that Nelson really does like Cat, but he's trying to cover it up and pretend he doesn't by making it seem that him liking her is just a joke. In other words, he's playing it off by making Cody's true statement seem like a joke.

Cody knew Nelson likes you, really likes you, and Nelson said what he said in a jokey way, so you'd think it's a joke, whereas it's not, and he does like you. But you don't think that and leaves you thinking, hoping (probably) that you'd ask 'im out or something. You're a girl, you don't know how boys' minds work. Same vica versa I guess.

eh cat boy's minds work in mysterious ways...they probably were just joking. there are countless times that my friends and i have walked past a person & said pretty close to the same thing. but yet, were girls, not guys. so for all i know, they could have been talking about the lovely tile on mars. no one knows for sure unless you're nelson/cody...

Okay, this is too much drama, but what I think is going on is that cody told you that nelson liked you so that you would think that they were kidding, but the reason they did that is probably because they thought that you thought that he liked you, so By cody saying, Nelson likes you! that would eliminate any thought of him actually liking you. yep, that made as much sence as cow=chickens.

okay, let me rephrase this confusing post, they thought that you were beginning to think that nelson liked you, so they said that so you would think that they were kidding and stop thinking that he liked you.

They were just screwing with you.
