Title: Finding Rp Rules
Description: i didn't know where to put it

I've split the RP Rules into two types, [Strict] and [Conditional].
(Basically, Strict means the rule must be followed under all circumstances and Conditional means that it doesn’t apply in the stated condition.)

1. Post length - [Strict]
Post counts are accumulated in the RP section, this means all posts must be over a certain length else considered spam. Just replying to a question is far too short, try finding something else to post as well. It may help to have two or more characters in the RP at one time.
2. Controlling other people’s characters - [Strict/Conditional]
This includes making them answer questions, making them do things and hurting them. It’s their character they decide what happens to them.
I *might* allow this if the other person is godmodding. (See below.)
3. Godmodding - [Strict]
This means making your character do things that are unrealistic. This includes (but is not limited to) Destroying a building with your bare hands, running as fast as/faster than a car and dodging bullets. (Chaos Control is also counted as Godmodding.)
4. Official characters - [Conditional]
Official characters are only allowed if the RP’s storyline *explicitly* requires them.
5. Fighting RPs - [Strict]
There are to be *no* fighting RPs. Fighting RPs will be locked on sight.
(These include battle arenas and any other type of RP where two or more players fight each other.)
6. Fan characters - [Strict]
Any Fan Character with an ability of an original Sonic character is disallowed. This is because it's extremely unimaginative, and it tends to lead to unimaginative RPs and Godmodding.

And, because I felt it was helpful, I'm adding Tails 4ever™'s RP Guide.

This is a guide to role-play ^_^ for the newbies, but read of you're an active role-player too.

STOP!

This isn't role-playing. It's considered annoying and n00bish and makes you seem new to the idea, even if you've replied in many topics. When you read back on the topic, it's boring, lifeless and not exciting, even if you're having an all-out war RP. So, based on some good RP's and tips from other forums, I've made this guide to help with the posts in the role-play section.

The Plot
For chilling role-plays, this doesn't apply. Otherwise, you have to have a good storyline to begin with. Think of your role-play as a story. You can twist and adapt the story for whoever joins and what they do, but the plot retains the same elements of what the story is about. In the first post, it's recommended to either:

Set the Scene: This is mainly about describing where your character is, what they're doing and what they're thinking about.
Flashbacks: Is your character out to get revenge on an old enemy? To show this, give the readers a flashback to show what this person did.
Have some Dialogue: This only works when you're controlling two characters. And no, you don't ask your friend to get their character in to help you with this type of opening >.<It>.>

Characters and How They Act
It has to be said. Some characters fire huge blasts at an enemy and expect them to be dead, while the others watch and go: "Oh. Look at that bird!" If it helps, picture yourself in your characters shoes. Some enemies are smart or just highly defensive, so need some tact applied when battling. And if you see someone lunch a mega attack, you're not going to be standing there, commenting on how pretty it looks! Again, some description can prove useful when saying how your characters are reacting, attacking, talking etc. If your character is all-powerful, then something needs to be done on it's personality. It's not fun if your characters aren't in any danger when you do this. Make them take hits! Have them suffer pain. It adds to tramic fights and makes your character seem more human.

Posts
Try to get at least two sentences in each of your posts.
• Use a combination of action and talking to help you with this. Again, add detail. I want to know how your character is feeling, what they look like and how they're acting so clearly that I could draw a picture of it in my minds eye.
Also, give people a chance. If someone joins a role-play, make sure they keep up with the action by not posting ten posts with your other friend while they're offline. It can be tempting, but post on the other boards instead.
• Use paragraphs instead of scripts. (This goes back to using speech marks)
• If you feel the plot is coming to a close, then don’t drag it out and try to start it up again. Close the role-play with a good ending, and make a new topic! ^_^

That's about everything. If you stick by these guidelines, all the RP's on this board will be fanstatic and will be re-read by aspiring role-players! ^_^

Have fun!

I'm going to pin this, because it's really good. Thanks a lot TactiC.

And, I would like to bold few things...No typing edits, though.

Hold on here, some of those rules don't really apply.

We're going with the regular Chao Paradise rules, these don't apply.
