Title: Pirates Of The Carribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Description: Good quality pirate fun, now with Kraken
Kiao - July 10, 2006 06:44 PM (GMT)
Anyone else seen it? I saw it two days ago.
Very good movie, but not as good as the original. They killed some of the jokes, made new ones (*bang* "Look! It's an undead monkey!"), and added...interesting plot twists for the next movie, due out next year. I personally thought Davey Jones was intense with his tentacles and how he played the organ, and how he also ripped out his own heart and teleported across the ship and summoned the Kraken and yeah. Oh, and Johnny Depp does another beautiful pirate performance. All and all, good movie. Made a killing in the box office, too.
Discussion is welcomed.

It was funny and all! I really liked it also but it kinda made me want to stop eating seafood for that day. But Johnny Depp still did a great job! I liked it when they were on that island with those native people. That was hillarious.

Knowing you, I'd think you'd hate it ><
You're softening up XD
ChaotiCole - July 10, 2006 08:48 PM (GMT)
I saw this movie twice, and when I it 2 days ago, there were so many drunk ****ers cheering, laughing, and CLAPPING, that I couldn't hear a thing. (Not to mention the guy in front of me with a combover ;_;)
Did anyone else notice that "thing" Jack dropped into his pocket the first time they were at that witch's place? I wonder if that's
[Spoiler alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!]
Kraken repellant for in the 3rd one?
Kiao - July 10, 2006 08:57 PM (GMT)
It was some kind of ring.
And if it was Kraken repellant, wouldn't it have not eaten him in the first place?

You obviously did not see it... the camera only looked at him for a splint second, and you could just barely see him slip a small black jar into his pocket. Also, I do believe it was before he took the ring. I missed it the first time I saw it too... Oh, and not really repellent, but rather some kind of terrible poison or something? It would make sense to me, after all, they couldn't really kill it from the outside, so why not poison it from the inside?
RamenKing - July 14, 2006 09:23 PM (GMT)
I saw this movie a few days ago, very confusing movie...the part were the kraken attacked the black pearl was awesome.....
SilentStrike - July 14, 2006 10:38 PM (GMT)
Seeing it tomorrow, Saturday. I've pretty much got an open afternoon, so I'll be watching that then.
animefreak549 - July 15, 2006 12:16 AM (GMT)
I'm gonna go see it tomorrow with my dad.
Yayz for daddy/daughter time. And the fact that my younger siblings are with my mom the entire weekend.
SilentStrike - July 15, 2006 01:02 AM (GMT)
Knowing that, you must feel really happy XD
Kaolla - July 16, 2006 01:11 AM (GMT)
I saw this thing yesterday. Great movie.
I do ever wonder what happened with the dog and the cannibals though ._.
Kiao - July 16, 2006 11:22 AM (GMT)
At the very end of the movie, there's a clip showing that the villagers have made the dog their new cheif. :O

Does that mean they'll try to "release him from his fleshy prison?"
Kaolla - July 16, 2006 03:13 PM (GMT)
I don't really think they're treating him as a chief.
Because they thought Jack was a god trapped in human flesh.
So they probably think the dog is a god in animal form.
UltraByte - July 17, 2006 04:16 PM (GMT)
This movie ROCKED! It's so sad when Jack lifts his sword up and get eaten by the Kraken... Also, I think Orlando looked better in this movie than the last one... NOT THE LONG-HAIR ORLANDO! The short-hair one.
Kero - July 18, 2006 12:56 AM (GMT)
"Discussion is welcomed"? You WOULD say that, wouldn't you, Kiao?
Meh. Given that I haven't seen any of the movies except for this one, I'd say it was great. Even though I didn't know what the hell was happening 47.53673% of the time. :D
I believe that Johnny Depp gave another character (in addition to Wonka) an eccentric appearance. =@@;= Crazeh stuffs.
Uchiha Itachi - July 20, 2006 09:45 PM (GMT)
I had saw this a few days ago, and I think its better than the first one.
Savvy?
animefreak549 - July 20, 2006 10:12 PM (GMT)
Heh heh
*sings* "I've got a jar of dirt! I've got a jar of dirt!"
I wanted to touch/play with Davy Jones's beard. It looked amusing.
Caos - July 21, 2006 04:49 AM (GMT)
Where have I heard that before...?XD
animefreak549 - July 21, 2006 05:00 AM (GMT)
Ha Ha.
It would be awesome if you had a tentacle beard...
Although I would want to touch it all the time. That might get annoying.
Caos - July 21, 2006 05:02 AM (GMT)
I think I could live without one thanks very much.
animefreak549 - July 21, 2006 05:08 AM (GMT)
Yeah
It would be better anyway, the tentacle thing would get nasty after awhile.
Caos - July 21, 2006 05:09 AM (GMT)
I still don't get why Sparrow had to get gobbled up, at least let him die honorably, like in a swashbuckling sword fight or something.
animefreak549 - July 21, 2006 05:14 AM (GMT)
When did you see the movie?
And his death seemed honorable, he went down with his ship.
Caos - July 21, 2006 05:15 AM (GMT)
I saw it the Friday it came out, and that was the only honorable thing was going down with the ship, as far as the kraken, that sucked for a way to die.
animefreak549 - July 21, 2006 05:17 AM (GMT)
;-;
I envy you, you saw it before me. And on opening day no less. I had to wait until my siblings left to go with my mom for the weekend.
But it was a good ending to the movie.
Caos - July 21, 2006 05:18 AM (GMT)
Not really, it's just dragging it on, I rather them just get it over.
animefreak549 - July 21, 2006 05:20 AM (GMT)
And my daddy said the same thing.
Caos - July 21, 2006 05:23 AM (GMT)
Are me and your dad really that much alike?
animefreak549 - July 21, 2006 05:43 AM (GMT)
You have your differences, but yes you and him are alike.
But your much cooler.

I saw that last Sunday. I thought they were really creative with Davey Jones' crew. Some of the sea creatures that were binded with the dead really wowed me.
On the down side, Disney usually screws up sequals. And in this there was some uneeded dialogue. Like at the beginning when Elizabeth and Tim answered at the same time :/
I dunno, SOME jokes were good but some just added to keep the 'comical' side to the movie.
Disney actually did a good job, I must say, unlike other sequals...(especially animated sequals) I just hope they don't 'loose their touch' in the third one.
