So, did anyone other than me enter this contest?

I didnt, I am still scared of having too many side attractions. Need to focus on less tennis and more Uni. :halo:

I've finally gotten round to entering this as well -- just in time, I think; doesn't it end today?

Why not have it on here as a predictions contest, as well? Anyone who entered should put their choices down --- feel free to adjust them if you want to :) But you should put your thoughts in before the seeds start playing in Paris, I think.

The rules were as follows: name the 8 qualifiers, in order, for the Masters Cup. Also, name the player who will win the TMC, and the number of games played in the final.

I suggest the following points system: 5 points for every correct top 8 player, and a further 5 points for every player whose position is correctly predicted.

20 points for the winner. Another 20 points for exactly predicting the correct number of games. Among two posters who are tied for points, the ones whose prediction is closest to the correct number of games will win. OK?

Here are my predictions:

1. Federer
2. Nadal
3. Ljubicic
4. Davydenko
5. Blake
6. Roddick
7. Gonzalez
8. Nalbandian.

Winner: Federer
# of games: 31.

Looks like we're the only two so far who've put our names down --- I guess we started this a bit too late ...

Still, some open questions remain. In particular, I think Gonzo or Ancic is a big one. If I understand the ATP site right, at most one of them can make it to Shanghai, given that they are drawn to meet each other early on.

They've both had pretty good runs recently. And they both have to be pretty tired by now, surely?

OK, so the *actual* list is now clear:

1. Federer
2. Nadal
3. Davydenko
4. Ljubicic
5. Roddick
6. Robredo
7. Nalbandian
8. Blake

Looks like we both underestimated Robredo, MrI. Somehow I really thought Gonzo would make it; he had such a good run recently. I guess he must've been tired in Paris. :(

Seems like you trumped me by putting Nalbandian at 7 ...

Anyway, ought to be good fun with this field. Let's hope not too many are injured ...
