I was expecting such a headline from Sam today, but where is he? Out celebratign no doubt!

Well I did not see the match and I am not a Sharapova fan and wanted Amelie to win this tournie, and was them hoping for JHH to win once she was out. However, I must say well done to Maria and give credit where credit it is due :ok: I dont; think her toughest opponents put tup the best fight they coudl have (MoMo, JHH) but despite her easier draw she does seem to have upped her game and cut down on errors. And I only saw a few highlights but is she using the net more? :o If so well done, as that is what I would like to see. :ok: I may become a fan if she improves and adds depth to her game. For her it was important that she showed her first slam to be no fluke, and well doen to her for that.

HArd luck to poor JHH though, gets into all four slam finals - now THAt is an excellent acheivement and show sthat she has bene right at tht ope of the game this year.

Anyway Sam you must be delighted, I'm pleased for ya! :D

And as my player Nav won yesterday I am feelign in generous mood so have a  on me!

Hey SB I had one hell of a day myself yesterday! roflmao

I did the treble at my clubs finals day (Singles, Mens doubles and Mixed doubles), then had to umpire a 3 hours Under 16 boys final in which one of the lads collapsed with heat exhaustion in the final set (and still won!)!

I had a lovely... evening, first going out for a meal with my doubles partners and some other finalists (including the lad!), then I went back to my GF's - so I missed the final, although it wasn't bothering me too much at the time if you know what i mean! roflmao

I've done a rival headline, of course in readiness for the Monday Sun! roflmao

Sounds like you had a good day! :ok: Well I am very pleased for you, our girls have done us proud (Nav for me that is!) :D I'm nto a Marai fan but you cant; deny her this in any way, and also I think it is mean that no one has congraulted her and given credit where it is due, although several peopel have read the thread. :(

I will await Monday's headline with anticipation! roflmao
