It rained YET again and so no play. I am supposed to beb on the women's fourth round by now but the thrid is still far from complete. Even the men;s 2nd has a match not played yet! :o Anyway I have pulled somethign together for today - assuming they can play, fingers crossed :pray:

Last night was first night that I had in for ages (life in the fast lane..) and was all ready to enjoy some tennis on a quiet night in (life in the bus lane).. that darned rain!! :(

Ended up starting a music thread.. there's a clip in amongst all the postings that you and DL04 might like..

I'd posted my predictions on CC, but no problem to put them on the beeb site.. Also, I think I got the matches wrong and need to provide some games won for Elena Likhovtseva.. I'm assuming that this means that no-one thinks that she will win?? Shame.. I like her, and think that she's a decent player..

Kudos to both you and MrI as this sort of thing does take time to organise.

I like Likkhy too, I hope she does win! I just made that up for fun, she is such an underdog in that match with the bookies. I think it is hard to say ho wmany she will win cos form what I know she is just as capable of being hammered 6-1 6-1 as she is havign a 7-6 set in there and Maria can be unpredictable so :shrug: Not sure what I am going to predict fo rany of them tbh! There are soem close lookign matches, and a lot of unknowns too.

This is true about Elena! And the H2H between the two is one apiece.. Whilst I have predicted that Maria will win, it would be nice if Elena were to pull off a shock, or at the very least take a set.

You're right, some of the matches are tough to call. Although it is not in the list of games the Safin Nalbandian match is one that I shall definitely follow closely. Marat is 5-1 in their H2H.. hope that it becomes 6-1!! :D

Yeah me too, Safin having a renaisance would be great for this USO. he is gettign older so he needs to crack on and buckle down! And i am nto a fan of Nalby, esp since he calle dpeopel whores at Wimby.

So Likky has beaten Maria? Well last year Likky went a logn way and pulled off an upset - can't recall who now mind you, wasn't Myskina was it? Thign si though much as I disliek Maria's game, when she is on who the hell can return those booming shots from the baseline? Not many and that si what I fear for Elena. Mid you she can hit can't she?
