Who do you think will win Roland Garros?

If she can stay fit and healthy, Justine should be able to win this. Her game is perfectly suited to the surface; her wonderful movement and the variety in her shots are tailor-made for clay.

Kuznetsova is also a good bet, but since Miami she's been struggling with a couple of injuries. She's had the bad luck of losing against the eventual champion after having match point 2 years in a row, and I'd definitely expect her to improve on her 4th round showing of last year. She certainly has the game to succeed, it's whether or not she can keep her head together.

Petrova is in outstanding form at the moment, despite the tough loss she had against Justine in the Fed Cup. I think she'll transfer her good form to the red clay, and I see her going deep in the tournament. However, I don't see her winning it - I'm still yet to be completely convinced about her mentality against the top players.

Lindsay and Maria are very unlikely to win it. Their games do not work well on clay, as it nullifies their power. Lindsay in particular has a poor attitude towards the surface, though she's decided to play a warm-up event beforehand - perhaps an indication she's a little more serious this time round? Dementieva could win the title, but she's so erratic it'd nearly impossible to predict how she'll play.

I forgot to put some in my views.

Kim has publically said how she feels that her movement is not as secure on clay (because there is no tough grip), which is an integral part of her game. She has been erratic in her form recently, particularly making mountains of errors off the forehand, but she may rediscover her game in Warsaw this week.

Pierce has been suffering from a foot injury and hasn't played since February, I believe. She is spectacular when on form, but I think her lack of match play will catch up with her. Unless she gets some good matchplay at her warm up events (which she is still a doubt for), I don't see her getting past the QFs or maybe even 4th round.

Venus Williams...well, it's tough to say how she's going to do until we've seen her play. She is an excellent clay court player, but she'll need to be fully fit to do well this year.

Mauresmo - the main thing for her is whether or not she can handle the pressure. She is great on clay, but in previous years she's wilted in front of her home crowd. But the YECs and AO wins have given her more confidence, so it'll be interesting to see how she handles them this year.

Myskina won't win Roland Garros. I know she's a former champion, but over the last year and a half she's been too erratic, and frankly clay is actually the worst surface for her game. Schnyder should make the QFs, but her lack of mental toughness will probably surface against someone like Justine.
