LDF - August 30, 2006 08:20 AM (GMT)
So, no 2nd round matches to be played other than the Roddick match (so everyone else who played on Monday will have to play 2 days in a row). Favouritism

ObL!v!0N - August 30, 2006 08:22 AM (GMT)
Will any matches get played today?

Serena 3rd to play again

There'd better be good weather in NY today.

It's unlucky for Lindsay though as she'll now have to play two days in a row.

Yes because we have to accomodate Andy, because he's America's best hope

I really want to get feedback in how well she's playing. And reference to her new outfit, if she wears one

SerenaW19 - August 30, 2006 08:54 AM (GMT)
I know, the blatant favouritism they should've showed for Lindsay

Don't they have the matches to download on WTAWorld perhaps if you've missed any?

I may start downloading matches to keep me going if we have any more lack of play on the courts

Scotsguy - August 30, 2006 04:36 PM (GMT)
TBH- I dont mind what the outcome of this match is, I'm not a particular fan of either, however in a way it'd be better to have Ana win if only because she's more likely to cause a more competitive 3rd round match...

LDF - August 30, 2006 04:49 PM (GMT)
No breaks of serve in the final set, so Ana leads 3-2.

LDF - August 30, 2006 04:55 PM (GMT)
Dushevina survives a break point with some attacking play, levelling the set at 3-3.

Ana's forehand is really hit-and-miss at the moment.

LDF - August 30, 2006 04:57 PM (GMT)
Much better game there from Ana, holding to love. The outcome of this match is certainly down to her; if she can continue to hit her forehand like in that game, she'll win. But it seems equally likely she could start spraying the ball off that wing today

LDF - August 30, 2006 05:00 PM (GMT)
Dushevina holds, recovering from 15-30 with some good first serves.

And another backhand error from Vera gives Ana a 5-4 lead in the final set...
