Tennis_Mad_Andy - August 9, 2006 02:55 PM (GMT)
I thought i should start a new thread on the championship! :D not a good start for my home team Leicester City so far! but Burnley Crystal Palace and Luton Town have made dream starts to the season!
ObL!v!0N - August 9, 2006 07:10 PM (GMT)

sir matchstickmen - August 13, 2006 08:30 PM (GMT)
Hi guys on here!
I'm also a big leicester fan Andy, we got a much needed win on Saturday against Ipswich! :D
ObL!v!0N - August 14, 2006 09:18 AM (GMT)
GRRRR! We let in an injury-time goal against Palace, therefore lost the game, and we had ten-men for 80 mins, ref was a joke, rob styles, no suprises there
We deserved a win, and big nose Peter Taylor chats cr@p about Palace deserved the win, were you watching a different game Taylor?
sir matchstickmen - August 14, 2006 12:59 PM (GMT)
Don't talk to me about Peter Taylor... roflmao
Tennis_Mad_Andy - August 14, 2006 01:46 PM (GMT)
LOL matchstickmen nice to meet another leicester fan mate :D are you going to cov on friday or going to watch it on sky? im going to get the tickets from Walkers in a minute :D Glad we won on saturday we needed it big time!
Oh dear no Peter Taylor roflmao he must have been deliberatly wrecking Leicester City, theres no way you buy Junior Lewis from Gillingham of division 2 when you are in the premiership and have been given like over 10 million to spend on players, not only did he buy him but he put him on a 18 grand a week contract
Then if that wasnt bad enough, we all know the Akinbiyi 5 million transfer, NIGHTMARE!! then he brought in Matt Jones who was a 22-23 year old decent player who wasn't really that proven at premiership level except for playing a few games here and there for Leeds and Peter Taylor for some reason places him on a 5 year contract at 20 grand a week, which is outrageous!! and then disastor struck in the 2002-2003 season when he got a career threatening injury and was out for about a whole season so we ended up paying 20 grand a week to him for a year without him playing a match!! and that was partly taylors fault for placing him on a 5 year contract, should have been 2-3 years to be on the safer side then we could have released him without paying a huge amount of compensation, so things like that put us into administration, deary me what a terrible manager he was for us.

Hey Matt jones was a decent commentator on Radio Leicester though... roflmao
Junior Lewis is up there with the worst signings of all time - no pace, awful control, and he seemed to have to sight his target before he passed the ball lol!
Nah, not going cov on Friday, Sky will do! I have a tennis tourny the next day anyway so better save my energy for that! :D
ObL!v!0N - August 19, 2006 07:17 PM (GMT)
GRRRR! (AGAIN)
Blackwell out! He has no idea, he can't motivate the players, today was the last straw. 1-0 losses to Cardiff are not acceptable. We should be challenging at the top, not bloody 18th. I know it's only August, but Blackwell is truely atrocious, he's got to go.
ObL!v!0N - August 26, 2006 06:59 PM (GMT)
Alright i'll stop the KB rants, just one thing I have to say:
COME ON LEEDS TOMMOROW! BEAT THE WENDIES! LIVE ON SKY SPORTS 1, 1.30PM!

Not as if Cardiff are doing bad at the moment mind ;)
You're better placed than us to make a challenge that's for sure! :D
ObL!v!0N - August 30, 2006 08:47 AM (GMT)
Oh, I've stopped complaining now. I'm happy atm, we are gonna do a Reading and go on a long unbeaten run! :P
Silver - August 30, 2006 11:28 AM (GMT)
Oblivion! You're an LUFC fan too? Excellent! :)
ObL!v!0N - August 31, 2006 08:49 AM (GMT)
Yeah! :ok:
We're gonna win the league, I am confident! B)
sir matchstickmen - August 31, 2006 09:07 AM (GMT)

Hehe, yeah. I think our team this year is solid rather than spectacular, but we've now got strength throughout the entire squad. :) I'm so glad Killa replaced Gregan at the back!
And heya Sam, I just recently 'migrated' from the BBC website- too many trolls there for my liking. :P Nice to meetcha, and thanks for the comment- though the picture's not of me, hehe.
sir matchstickmen - September 1, 2006 10:43 AM (GMT)
Don't talk to me about the BBC - I don't actually know who I hate more, the trolls who have ruined the board, or the mods who decide to punish the posters who actually contribute something!
Leeds will be playoffs probably, my automatic tips have to be Brum (I hate them) and Palace!
As for my Leicester, we have a young side, we are getting better all of the time, and if we can get the front two firing as they were at the end of last season we might well cause a few surprises
Silver - September 1, 2006 12:04 PM (GMT)
Hehe, yeah.
And a Leceister supporter? Nice- I have a few relatives living there, so I've been to a few games. It's a nice atmosphere. :)
ObL!v!0N - September 1, 2006 06:49 PM (GMT)
Hey Silv! :)
We signed Jon Douglas on permanent "undisclosed" deal, and sent Eirik "Bakke" (:D) to Norway with Brann Bergen, and kept Tony Warner until January, but a deal for Stephan Anderson from Charlton fell through!
I'm so glad we kept hold off Killa, it just shows we are not the push-overs in the transfer market we once were! :D
Oh and Sam, we are going up as Champions! Birmingham will flop, and Palace will miss the top 6.
I see us and Southampton going up automatically, and I dunno who will win the play-offs, but I'd like Leicester to come up too, us relegation buddies need to stick together! :ok:

I'm undecided about Southampton to be honest at the moment, I won't comment further on Leeds as that would be unfair, but you have a decent shout!

The Walkers is nothing like as intimidating as Filbert Street used to be :(
Tennis_Mad_Andy - September 16, 2006 03:04 PM (GMT)
Hmmm 0-0 so far at sunderland against leicester, we need to try and get something from this :(
ObL!v!0N - September 16, 2006 08:44 PM (GMT)
We're 23rd in the league :(
Blackwell won't resign or won't be sacked :(
We've got a shite team, and Blackwell won't drop any of them :(
We're getting 15,000 people per home game :(
I'm a Leeds fan :(
chairman - September 16, 2006 08:47 PM (GMT)
You should be ashamed supporting leeds united. OMG they have gone right down the pan.

It sounded like we had enough chaces to win ourselves mind - draw sounded fair!
safc_fan89 - September 18, 2006 02:54 PM (GMT)
Depends which way you look at it. Before we scored, we were very poor. As Keane said himself, he should have freshened up the team but didn't, which is understandable because we had won the last game with ease. But after the equaliser we wasted a few chances, apparently.
Luckily the league is unbelievably tight. We're only 3 points off the playoffs despite losing our first 4 games. Could be 04-05 all over again. I hope.
ObL!v!0N - September 18, 2006 02:57 PM (GMT)
Well I hope Blackwell is gone soon. We're 23rd and playing awfully, and he buys awful players. We'll probably lose to Barnet tommorow night, at this rate.

You have your wish - Blackwell's been given the boot.
ObL!v!0N - September 20, 2006 04:26 PM (GMT)
Yep he's gone now! :D
Get in Dave Penney or Alan Curbishley! :D

Curbishley i a bit ambitious for a little club like yours roflmao
ObL!v!0N - September 23, 2006 07:42 PM (GMT)
See what happens when we finally get rid of Blackwell, we beat the 'invicible' Birmingham! If he'd gone earlier, we'd probably be top now! :D
Come on Leeds!
safc_fan89 - September 24, 2006 08:19 AM (GMT)
I wouldn't say Birmingham are 'invincible', no team is in this division. Birmingham are a bit overrated, which was inevitable. And I wish everyone would stop saying that Sunderland can get promoted. We are not good enough at this stage, as yesterday proved.
ObL!v!0N - September 24, 2006 09:32 AM (GMT)
I was being sarcastic about the 'invincible' thing. The so-called experts said Birmingham would walk this league this season, and they are being proved wrong (again!). It's a very tough league to get out of.
safc_fan89 - September 24, 2006 04:30 PM (GMT)
I know you were but the media think otherwise! There is only one team, Cardiff, that seems to be performing at a level higher than the other teams. And I'm not convinced that will last. It certainly makes the Championship more exciting than certain other leagues though!
ObL!v!0N - October 14, 2006 04:34 PM (GMT)
ARGH!!!!! We lost 4-0 @ home to Stoke, and we missed a penalty at 0-3. Stoke are a poor side as well, what the hell is going on? I am starting to fear we could be in League One next year. I know it's only 11 games gone, but the team is not good enough, and we don't have any money to do anything about it, and worse still we'll probably lose Healy and Killa in January. The Leeds nightmare hasn't finished yet. :(
ObL!v!0N - October 21, 2006 04:41 PM (GMT)
