Title: Combined ATP & WTA Tournaments

IvanoVICTORY - July 2, 2008 07:18 PM (GMT)
Which Tournaments are both ATP and WTA / played in the same city at the same time?

I of course know the 4 Grand Slams... any others? :ok:

nevets - July 2, 2008 07:24 PM (GMT)
Sydney, Memphis, Indian Wells, Miami, Estoril, New Haven, Tokyo and Moscow :ok:

IvanoVICTORY - July 2, 2008 09:11 PM (GMT)
Thanks - I see none of these fall in my holidays - been looking to where I can travel. :)

liam_valid - July 2, 2008 09:30 PM (GMT)
Arent they planning on doing this with Queens or Eastbourne?

IvanoVICTORY - July 2, 2008 09:41 PM (GMT)
What are the implications of the new ATP calendar? They are changing the whole system aren't they?
Because I'm now looking into going to Sydney - it falls perfectly next year: 11-17 January: I just hope they don't change it on the ATP side! Want to see both WTA and ATP players.
Any word around when the tours publish their new calendars?

Don't they play seperately at Sydney? As in women first one week then the men? Not sure myself..

Liam, I think they are doing away with Nottingham next year and both going to Eastbourne for a joint tournament.. :ok:

GS2 - July 3, 2008 12:30 PM (GMT)

I'm not sure whether I am reight about Eastbourne now, I know they are scrapping one of them I think..

GS2 - July 3, 2008 12:48 PM (GMT)
Yes - they are getting rid of Nottingham to have a combined event in Eastbourne

IvanoVICTORY - July 3, 2008 03:41 PM (GMT)
98.8% chance I'm going to Sydney now :)

Haha yes for sure :P Just give me a call :P

And would go to another event but Sydney is the only one that fits into my Varsity Semesters

:D

I hope they announce the 2009 calendar soon, I'd really like to be able to get to a few more tournaments, particularly if they are joint events. Not that teaching is really the best job to be able to do this!
