Just cleaned up a few that turned out to be duplicate accounts. Someone else will have to have the honour of being member number 100.

Perhaps Vamos could have that honour. He likes to snoop about on here counting how many posts are related to Tennis V how many are just chat and then he relays that info on the BBC . How interesting . NOT.

For what it's worth, I joined today having seen a link on the BBC forum.

The BBC forum has become so bizarrely disfunctional recently that it is almost a tourist attraction in its own right - the psychiatric cabaret of a 26 year old whose only social contact is with his aliases.

I've already found some perfectly normal stuff on this site and look forward to contributing. Funny how old age creeps up on you - I still can't get my head around the fact that I'm past 40 and suddenly, I'm like an old timer who remembers Borg's five Wimbledon victories as if they were yesterday. Actually, I even remember Evonne Goolagong winning Wimbledon although my memory is of my mother watching and explaining rather than any details of the match.

Yes, it's sad to see the beeb board in the state that it is now..:( For some reason, The Lord of the Flies springs to mind..

Many of the CC folk do still post there, as I (and certainly many others) first started out posting there, and, well it is the beeb after all. As with SG, I am certainly much more selective about postings though..

This is a friendly and relaxed site, in my humble opinion.. hope that you enjoy it too :) A good example of that is a thread recently started by Nick H about the GOAT in the men's game.. and shock horror, it hasn't descended into any Fed/ Samps mudslinging that invariably permeates the beeb board whenever this subject comes up.. And a few of us also reminisce about Borg on it, as you do..! :)

Oh, and many of us also remember Yvonne Goolagong/ Cawley! A very accomplished player :)

Well the BBC never do anything at all about spamming even though its against the rules. And really what is the point in the 3 minute rule? No point at all. And under the new rules you were not allowed to quote other messages but that still happens even hidden , removed ones. The BBC are useless against trolling and spamming.
Well ultimately it will be their loss as the quality posters will just give up. Even though people are told time and time again to ignore the spammers they still keep posting on their silly threads.
And oh yes I well remember Borg's 5 Wimbledon titles too ;) I remember Anne Jones winning never mind Borg roflmao

Im past 40 as well ( just) . My earliest memory was I think Connors winning Wimbledon for the first time .
