Oh dear poor Paula :( I agree though that fi she isn't fully fit then she should not compete at the Olympics, especially with their problems with air quality and heat. I know she has had bad luck with Olympics but if sh eplans to continue running enterign this coudl ruin th erest fo her career. Unless she wants this as one last push, and then retire. But will she want to remember her career being over because she is stretchered of in Beijing?
Good luck Paula, I hope she can recover but at the sam etime please don't push it. :ok:
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/22052008/58/...ajor-doubt.htmlSounds like Paula won't be going - stress fracture to the femur :nope:
That's probably her last chance for an Olympic gold medal. She'll probably be too old in 2012.
I'll be absoulely devastated if Paula doesn't make it to the start-line in Beijing. I think she's absolutely incredible and definitely deserves an Olympic medal of some description.
I just think her body is giving up on her. She's been a world-class athlete for so long. She actually made her first world final back in 1993!
