De Villiers Under FireThis should please some people on this board I think ... :)
Thoughts?
Yes I read the Nadal interview and completely agree with him. The clay season is very important. I like the fact it is a different flavour of tennis, like grass is and adds up to the excitememnt of the sport in the same way as different Golf course create different challenges. I think we have stressed many times that De Villiers is only conidering the US market whitout realising that the rest of the world has taken up tennis and most likely to see the excitement coming from there than the US. If he (or his sponsors) considers college basketball more important than Tennis, then maybe he shoudl go and work for them rather.
Out he goes!
I had no idea that the tournaments had moved back a week because of college basketball  Was that for TV scheduling purposes or for some other reason?
