The major thing so far is that it's been on since 8pm GMT, it's now 8:45pm GMT and we're on about the 4th ad break. They've had a celebrity chef on saying some well known MHL phrases in Italian and introduced the sound men...

Perhaps they're waiting for the watershed before they say 'fuuuuucking hell a ghooooosst'

That's what used to mek me laugh on X-Files, and they also used to pull out those torches in situations where they never hadone in the 1st place :D

I watched that last night. I thought it very convenient that all the movement happened off camera especially as there was so much of it. And the book that turned up on the floor (that wasn't there before) beind "The Devils" really was quite corny.

But having said that the skeptic Ciaran O'Keefe did actually seem to be seeing things too. And he was the one who set up Derek "fake" Acorah a couple of years back by planting fake names before episodes such as Kreed kafer (anagram of "Derek Faker") and Derek went and got possessed by the made up person.... Ciaran put his reputation and job on the line by exposing him.... so I would hope he is generally quite a safe skeptic.... if they were screwing about I would hope he would say.

But the guy who is the medium now was a right joke last night. I wasn't convinced by his so called short moment of possession by one of the devil's minions or his weak response to Ciaran's question of "How are you communicating with these Italian ghosts then?".... because he was getting messages from them.... Hmmmm, I'm very skeptical about him.... but maybe some of the odd noises bangs and ball bounces they heard last night were real... I would hope it wasn't a complete farce...

agreed, I said that to Mrs Lex about stuff conveniently happening when they were on ad breaks too. I also thought the medium was a pile of dross and get a feeling that the whole team are somehow taking the piss.

The earlier shows were much better.

Any good so far? Or worth skipping the first hour and going straight to the live broadcast?

they got pretty much into the live broadcast Gav, it's better than last night's but they do keep talking and then say 'ooooh did you hear that?'

Unfortunately, because I loved his entertaining style, he was proven a fake by the skeptic working on the show and according to Yvette Fielding was then sacked. Derek said the show wasn't going "in the same direction" as him....that direction being straight to the looney bin Derek??? :D :D

How incredibly convenient, the studio historian tells us about a legend concerning Abbots being buried sitting in a circle to guard against a demon that has been trapped in lower levels... This is a little known fact (must google it ;))

The medium sees the monks in a circle and detects a malevolent presence as well as the team feeling a rumbling under the floor..

They've just had stones thrown at them, the funniest thing was when Yvette said to Ciaran (Sceptic) that was was just near him... 'was it?' said he, then the camera panned down to see a egg-shaped stone by his foot - I'm mystified why they don't collect those and test them to see where they actually came from..

one question I always have about this programme is, do the presenters know where they are going enought ime beforehand to do any research?

I'm sure that a quick google of the tunnels of Turin would show up enough for anyone to gen up on and then pretend to be a medium
