Title: Lá Fhéile Pádraig
Description: Happy St Patrick's Day if you celebrate!

We usually find an irish pub cos I am a huge fan of Guiness, but follishly George booke dtommorrow off so as he coudl get pissed tonite, then discovered he had to go play in the cribbage team  As I wouldn't touch the Guiness there I'm having a can now :D

I am also upset that the Irish pub closed and reopened and is now crap. Used to have dancers, bands and loads of Guiness, plus special Irish food and nice stew. And the landlady pinned Shamrocks on us. :) Most breweries use i tas a marketing gimmick, but there are some genuine good party atmospheres in the right places.

Anyway have a good St Paddys day to all those who celebrate it :ok:

have just got off phone to my Mum who informed me that Eastenders was celebrating St Paddy's day in the Queen Vic

ummm, do they celebrate St George's day too? Or is that seen as too jingoistically patriotic...

What is it about St Patrick's Day that makes folk go silly?

Guniess Lex :D

Yeah I am watching Eastenders now, they are having a party. I think they might do St George's on there, it does seem folks frown on celebrating St Geroge but I don't care and I do when I can find a party. :ok: Quite a few of our local pubs put the cross of St George up and throw in pie and mash so why not? I think folks should celbrate as they like. And for me any of these national days are often an excuse for a party. :ok:

How stupid! They shoudl stick to Easter being as it is supposed to be, rather than bringing it early this year. It doesn't feel right . I'd sooner have the two bank hols you get sometime else. It gets sooo busy if you go away and is dead if you stay put. Can't win! But I'm not going to the coast this year like last as Easter weekend was an absolute nigthmare, heaving everywhere, traffic and hard to find a table in a restaurant. And everywhere full of kids too, no offence to families but I prefer ti when it's not kiddie season. I don't celbrate Easter so
