Being as pretty much the whole of the top 10 are playing in Dubai in a week's time, I thought i'd start the thread now. It's not going to be quite as interesting as it could have been if Nadal hadn't gone out so early in Rotterdam - the world's number 1 spot could have been up for grabs.
However, it's going to be interesting nonetheless to see how Federer copes in his first tournament since the AO and give us some idea of players' form before the 2 American masters events.
At the moment I don't know who the WCs are (although i read the other day that Safin had been offered one and chosen to play in Memphis and Las Vegas instead - suspect he thinks he might have more chance there). Also, considering how strong the women's qualifying line up is for this event, it'll be interesting to see which players come through qualifying in the men's event. I suspect this will be one of those events where drawing a qualifier is not necessarily a good thing.
