Now i own both its close but i do prefer the 360 at the minute although i do think that ps3 will take over later on when the bigger titles come out later on.

We just managed to put our hands on the Wii today!!! It s for my son xmas present.....coming a little bit late obviously. Hopefully Trisco is right! I don't know anything about those games!

You should love the Wii Tenez, great machine and the tennis is pretty good on it too, although there are gonna be a few better games out shortly I think where you use the Wiimote to swing and the nunchuk thing to move the players yourself rather than auto moving players like the first Wii tennis game.

Go playstation3 for sure.

Firstly its a blu ray player which is a really big advantage.

Also imo most of the best games the 360 has have already been released while for the ps3 there are tons of good games coming out this year and next.

Yes - I would have never thought I d be one of those addicted :yikes: posters.....Bu it's fair to say that I love the game and could talk about it for ever.

Has anyone on here played the new devil may cry 4 on either console and if so how good is it as i am considering getting it soon but as its quite pricey i want to be sure it is a good game.

I like the resident evil and silent hill games on playstation but dont really play computer games much.

HOWEVER:

im sure i read in the paper that HD technology is being discontinued in favour of blu-ray, and because PS is blu-ray and Xbox is HD, then Xboxes will also be discontinued because games wont be able to be produced. Is this correct?

I've not got either. But I think what you may have read is that Blue Ray DVD movies have proven slightly more popular than the HD DVD movies so perhaps the market is working towards the Blue Ray format for watching HD movies, just like the video market went to VHS from Betamax. I have not read that, but I don't keep up with things.

However, this would not stop X Bos games still being produced in that format because the games would still be supported even if movies were no longer being produced for HD DVD formats.

I imagine eventually this would mean future X-Box 360's would be able to play Blue Ray Technology DVD Movies. Whichever proves the more popular format you can rest assured Microsoft would go with it.

Other info of interest in this thread, Wii outsells PS3 by 4 to 1 in Japan.

im not keen on the wii either. although the tennis game is fun when we hook it up the big screen in the pub

ive always been sony (ps1, ps2, psp) but i would choose a 360 over a ps3 purley because of price, if i had to buy one. as it is my bf is selling me his premium 360 cheap, hes getting the elite. but if im honest the only reason i want a newer console is for when GTA comes out.
ive got a wii, but the initial hipe has worn off, ive spent more time on my ps2 lately...
