Celebrated with a fab little trip to Italy.. now back in the freezing rain, wind, hail, snow and would like some of that warmer southern european weather back please!

the worst thing about going abroad atis time of the year is coming back to the Britosh weather :( my mate spent 2 weeks in Jamaica over xmas, and caught all sorts of colds when he got back!! Still, when the Gulf Stream changes our current weather will seem like a distant heaven :huh:

SB, was in Tuscany.. great part of the country.. spent a lot of time there when growing up so was a bit of a revisit of childhood really. Would also recommend Puglia, right in the 'toe' of Italy. Can get flights to Bari, and then explore some fabulous places.

Liam, re: Gulf Stream.. I'd read things about that possibly being a problem in the future, but wasn't sure if any conclusive had been drawn on that? Global warming definitely much more of a problem though, both in terms of temperatures in already hot countries (like Australia for example, where there is a real water shortage and has been for the last few years), and the higher incidence of extreme weather conditions.. :blink: but agreed re: temperature changes, not liking this cold much at all..!!
