Title: Did you catch much of the action?
Harry Potter - January 26, 2008 08:01 PM (GMT)
I've always missed most of the Aussie open, as I'm either in bed or at school when the matches are being played. My family have more or less banned me from watching sports now (except figure skating), but at the time when it wasn't the case, I was able to watch some of the Oz on weekends and just a tiny bit on Wednesdays (as I only have lessons in the morning). This year, I didn't watch a single minute of it.
And I'm wondering - did YOU guys get to watch much of this tournament this year, or hardly or did not see any of it? I know that most of you guys don't have anyone giving you orders but the matches are played rather late (for those of us in Europe), and surely this is a slam you watch a lot less than the others?...

Ummmm I saw Ferrero-Nabandian, Kohlschreiber-Nieminen, Jankovic-Dellacqua, Mathieu-Nadal, Djokovic-Federer and Sharapova-Ivanovic live....
Saw repeats of all Maria's matches, Roddick-kohli, Nadal-Tsonga, Janky-Serena, Ana-Venus, Baggy-Hewitt, Tipsy-Federer.....

I watched a lot of it, but not live. I recorded it whilst I was asleep, watched an hour before school, then record some more whilst I am at school. I watch some matches in their entirety (e.g when Venus, Jelena, Ana, Maria, Roger and Nole are playing) but most time, I'm happy to just skim through my videos, so at least I can get the gist of what went on when I was at school.

Indeed-school makes it so hard to watch the AO live-luckily eurosport and bbci had repeats on their websites....

I actually like figure skating, so I don't mind that. And don't go on pestering me, I do figure skating myself! B)
Well, at least I was able to catch the final points of the men's final live

no, not really  I had to be at work all day -but sneakily live-streamed little bits of the Safin vs. Baggy, Kohly vs. Roddick and Djoko vs. Fed (just the odd tie-break here and there though :( )
I watched the end of the Tipsy vs. Fed game, which was great.
And got to watch most of the final, until my live stream decided to stop working (still slightly bitter about that! :chainsaw: )
I tried to find the Tsonga vs. Nadal match on the BBC site, but they just had highlights - which last about 3 minutes

:( not nearly as much as I would like - although I did catch bits and bobs here and there and enjoyed it all - I was mainly sneaking looks at scoreboards during IT lessons
