Nadal and Murray get nice quarters possibly a Semi-final with Muzza having a chance to take revenge for last year!!!!!

Federer has a really hard half - Isner in the 2nd round then the Nalbandians, Djokovics - even Hewitt and others lurking. However as they are so grouped together he can only play a certain few of them and with Nalbandians back problems I can't see anything stopping Fed into final and then title.

I hope Nadal gets there actually just so Fed can beat him again before the clay season.

Well, Federer certainly appears to have the tougher side of the draw. If Fat Dave recovers from these back spasms, which I think he will, and if Djoko is back to firing on all cylinders...A lot of 'ifs' and 'buts' - but certainly seems tougher side to me. Ferrer is also lurking around. Whereas I am still yet to be 100% convinced on the 'Rise and Rise of David Ferrer' it does make me uncomfortable to see him looming - not so invisible anymore :P

Safin is also in that side - can he provide any surprises?

See Murray doesn't have a too difficult path - just hope Nadal doesn't crash out early, and can beat him soundly. Roddick , Davydenko, Robredo, Gasquet...all in the same side

Anyway, just a quick  for Fed...and I hope someone takes a game to Murray (vamos Rafa) so I don't have to hear about him 'sweeping' his way through

What a shame that only one of last season's form horses, Ferrer, Djokovic, and Nalbandian can slug it out from the same quarter.

Many of Nadal's bogey players (hard flat hitters like Blake, Gonzalez, and Berdych) are in the other half, although there could be an interesting Moya re-match - on one possible scenario Roddick might be licking his lips over picking up the pieces after that one. Even in Nadal's own half Youhzny, Gasquet, and Murray are all in the other quarter.

When you look at the top three it feels like a slightly lop-sided draw - Nadal has the best of it.

I never understand why they don't always put the 2nd and 3rd seeds on the same side of the draw and the 1st and 4th on the other.

Me either  Makes perfect sense

Nadal does potentially have the easiest road to latter stages - I agree Roddick may be looking on with glee at whoever may make it through Moya vs. Rafa. A-Rod may be a one trick pony, but he's just the sort of big hitter I can imagine Nadal falling to

Overall, the draw does seem very lopsided. The only confident prediction I feel I can make is that Gasquet is not going to last long against the players he has early on....

the 2nd and 3rd quarters are fairly loaded with big names -there could be some interesting matches there.

the 2nd quarter includes Djokovic, Nalbandian, Hewitt, Baghdatis and Ferrer, with Youzhny, Murray, Davydenko Gasquet and Wawrinka all in the third quarter.

I actually think that Nadal and Fed's quarters are the least interesting, until you get to the quarter finals and have the possibility of Nadal vs. Roddick B)

Not that I'm convinced it'll happen, but i'd love to see a Safin vs. Djokovic match-up in the 4th round, however safin has to get past Gulbis, Baghdatis/Johansson, and Hewitt to get there....so i won't hold my breath

your kidding right? If Isner is Feds only threat to the semis i would hardly call it a hard half. Only Roddick poses a threat to both Nadal and Fed getting through to the semis. Once there you could say both have it tough, but in a GS semi, what else would you expect???
