So next week, with Berlin points coming off, Justine will temporarily go down to 7, pushing Mary and Lindsay up a spot.

I've done some sums and look
Momo has 3511 pts and has to defend 438 points before Wimbledon
Kim has 2895 pts and has to defend 421 before Wimbledon
Maria has 2753 pts and has to defend 529 points before Wimbledon
Nadia( ) has 2530 pts and has to defend 596 pts before Wimbledon
JHH has got 2498 pts and has to defend 1195!!! pts before Wimbledon
Mary has 2386 pts and has to defend 576 pts before Wimbledon
Lindsay has 2254 pts and has to defend only 174 points before Wimbledon
what means mrs Leach is in a good position to regain top 4 ranking
I am sure that if Lindsay cures her back - even temporarily - gets fit and plays in Istanbul and RG she will get back to top 4 - based on current situation on tour...

She'll be back up to number 12. :)

Hopefully after Rome she could be back in the top ten in time for RG and wimby! :D

Ok, I may not be right here, but with Nadia's Berlin final points coming off (210pts) and Mary only losing 42 for reaching the 3rd round, Mary will actually move up to number 4!

Mary up to 4 and she's had one good result this year <_<

I guess all her points are from the 2nd half of the year...

(For the record, every tournament up to and including Wimbledon this year will be one week later than last year. So it'll be tough to follow the rankings! It goes back to 'normal' when the US hard court season begins in Cincinatti.)

I can imagine Pierce going into freefall if that injury still prevents her from playing.....

She isn't sure whether or not she'll be fit for RG at the moment... :(

For Pierce and her fans, it's a shame she was injured these past few months becasue she had very little to defend, now once RG begins she has has to repeat many strong runs, I guess it's good for her as those results are spaced out, but it'll be tough for her to challenge for a top 5 space I feel...

I tell ya, you wanna see that match - I'd love to get your opinion if you do see it!

Rome points come off during the week of Berlin.
Istanbul/Strasbourg points come off during the week of Rome. (So, for instance, Venus' Istanbul points will come off before the seedings for RG is made).
