Sydney Doubles Draw

Quite a few tough first round matches here with all the big names in action. Top seeds, Mike and Bob Bryan, face the new pairing of Jamie Murray and Max Mirnyi. Second seeds Nestor and Zimonjic face Myrstenberg and Matkowski who had a successful 2007.

Other pairings in the draw include Aspelin and Knowle, Erlich and Ram, Paes and Hanley, Bhupathi and Knowles and Damm and Vizner to name but a few!

yeah, some good match-ups here :)

I see Butorac has teamed up with Ullyett - which could be interesting! Liking the French teaming of Gasquet and Tsonga too! :D but tough first round for Jamie :(

Paes loses out to his former doubles partner. Slightly surprised that Ullyett and Butorac lost but then again Sirianni had a great week last week.

yeah, playing in front of a home crowd probably helped too :)

Another poor show from the new partnership of Nestor and Zimonjic, should Nestor really have split with Knowles? I think not, although no doubt they'll win a slam and prove me wrong.

Unlucky for Mirnyi and Murray but it was always going to be a tough match, particularly since it's only their third competitive match together.

I'm really impressed by Gasquet and Tsonga :clap: Beating the Bryans is no mean feat - although like MissS said, let's hope Tsonga is kind of exhausted now ;)
