Description: great place for XF/Strictly/ BB etc fans

SuperBRAT - December 17, 2007 09:18 PM (GMT)
Those of you who like to follow your reality TV and talent shows ought to check this out. There are forums too :ok:

http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/

Check out the first page with first ever X Factor winner Steve Brookstein and what he is doing now, poor bloke. Goes to show these shows don't do the trick for everyone.

Brookstein was in the paper singing at some pizza place or other. At least Leon knows what his future holds, hehe! Apparently Lorraine Kelly was all over him on GM and Leon was just sat there hunched and mumbling, what a star!

It's a shame you decide to slag off a humble lad who hasn't had it easy in his life and has realised a dream.....it really is. A deserved winner....as Rhyd would have been had he won.

That Lorraine is shamless, she flirts with everyone! I saw her flirt with Justin from the Darkness :o

Yeah it said he was singing in a pizza place. Thing is though they get a 1m deal right, and all Xf wants form them is the Xmas no one and an album. Not much money left for promotion and stuff, and unless you sell millions of records (which doesn't seem to happen any more) you won't be a millionaire with that. I'm nro sure but i think they onyl get 5%??? So really it's a case of 'next!" once the fever is over. it's more about self perpetuating the show if you ask me than promoting and supporting the winner for a long career.

Personally I like the lad, and it's nice to see someone form a poorer background do well. However, showbiz is a cruel world Gav and these shows all have their fan bases for contestants who are bound to be unhappy. Also folk like me who despite liking the lad have heard a lot better singers in their time. I feel sorry for him in many ways. :( Still it's showbiz though.

I do feel a little sorry for him now as everyone is saying it's a fix! He must feel a bit crap, his moment taken away from him.
Sorry Gav but I don't go for the sob stories, everyone has a history and everyone is entitled to success regardless of tales of woe etc. To be honest I think that's where Rhyd went wrong - no tears shed!
It is a bit of a shambles at the mo though! Leon having to defend himself at every turn, hardly the brightest of starts.

They are now saying Leon won by 10% I mean seriously........

Each to their own WA, but I am entitled to defend him if you attack him.

They did say there was a 1% difference between them but that was before Same Difference went out. Then the Same Difference fans had to vote for someone else, and I guess most of those went to Leon. :ok:

I'm nto attacking or defending, I just smell a rat.

Anyway the 1% was before they sung their Xmas songs, I do find it hard to believe that in that time Leon increased his lead by 9%. Maybe he did but I find ti very hard to beleive indeed.

As I said in my post I was defending the attack on Leon from WA not you SB.

At the end of the day, if this vote is proven to be fixed, I don't see how X-Factor will be allowed to broadcast again next year.

Anyway.... I will just the wish the best to Leon, Rhydian and Same Difference. :ok: Whatever happened, right or wrong....it wasn't their fault.

Oh totally agree Gav. It's sad for Leon :( If you win these things you do not want a shadow over it.

And I feel sorry for SD also, cos if there were any problems or fixes then they lost out too, and I love them - nice people indeed. As is Leon and Rhyd. :ok:

You are proably right! people felt more sorry fo rhim than Rhyd with that sentiment, and that's how he won asuming it was clean. When Steve Brookstein did Against All Odds you knew he had won cos he was not the fave and ti tugged heartstrings. Once you are seelign records though all that will nto apply thankfully so that's what sorts the wheat form the chaff.

WimbledonAce - December 21, 2007 09:22 PM (GMT)
Who did Brookstein beat again? Was it G4??? Outrageous!!
