Well I'm not going to be popular but this is just major sour grapes and :bs: !
We voted for Leon for her and when I did I got the engaged tone about 5 times before it finally got through... it works both ways!!!

Well I am not a voter, and I don't know if all of this is true but it is interesting that so many people are compaining AND that an investigation is to happen. I do know phone issues can affect results, it has in the past with Pop Idol because of a glitch with Gareth gates's line compared to Will Youngs. In fact there are so many folks involved these days that all kinds of things can go wrong. I did speak to someone today and they found it bizarre that ANY lines shoudl eb engaged, because of the way these things are set up you shoudl get through every time. Did you know that Pop Idol took whole switches out? My partner's netwrrok was in tatters thanks to that! roflmao
What interests me more is the betting side - that is rarely wrong, and the fact that so many people are saying iti was the wrong winner. It's on every site. I find it all very odd and I am not sour grapes as much as I prefered Rhyd I don't mind him not winning cos he'll have a better career if he doesn't. :)

This is interesting about the investigations into phone voting form a while back, and it says that X Factor voting was down 50% anyway this series, although not sure about the final, cos people don't trust it. I woudl assume that if the series was down at the end of Nov that the final would be down so you'd think the networks woudl hanlde less calls?
http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2007/nov/2...ed=networkfrontAnd here' another article on a similar vein to the first one.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/topstories/20...89520-20258794/It is interesting to note that in past series, many votes have come in late despite beign made on time and so were never counted.

Lol keep them coming SB, I love all this conspiracy theory stuff! It did seem unfair how there was hardly any time to vote for Rhyd after he sang the winners song, especially when the lines were jammed!
I havn't come across anyone yet who says it's the right decision, so who on earth voted??!!

I manged to vote for Rhydian twice...and that was towards the end of the voting time. I must have pressed redial about 30 times before I got through first time, and then I counted and it was approx 50 redials before I manged to vote the 2nd time.

Wow Mo, such dedication! :D I could not be arsed with that, I hate having to keep redialing. I only ever voted once or twice and that was in Series One. I got through really quick . I voted for 2 acts I think, one was G4 and I cannto rememeber the other.
WimbledonAce - December 20, 2007 08:10 PM (GMT)
I remember voting for Gareth Gates!
I don't vote now though as our line is blocked to all those numbers due to it being used for some dodgy websites - not by us I can assure you!!!
