Surely the latter part of that statement proves that they may player for player be the best, but not the best TEAM!

I just think our players are built up to ridiculous levels by our media, which is so ignorant of the talent other countries have at their disposal.

Players like Gerrard, Lampard, Joe Cole etc. may be stars in the context of our domestic football, but when you look at some of the other teams you have to say that England is probably the 8th or 9th best team in this world cup. We got as far as we could have hoped, the last 8!
