A cakewalk for Petrova? I think its deceptively tough her draw. She'll either face Zvonareva or Dulko in the second round who can both play really well on clay. She's also got potential Estoril winner Zheng in the third round or the improving-in form Dechy and not to mention the mention the dangerous hard-hitting Safina.

Still i think Petrova really does have a great chance, her half is the weakest half and the way she's been playing lately does give her a real chance to win this title if the top players in the top half slip-up.

Hmm, I see your point dl. I have to say, earlier, I was just a little annoyed that Nadia managed to get a kinder draw than all the other top players again, but I think you're right. That said, her draw is still much easier than Amelie, for instance.

I like Nadia, so I hope she makes the final, with her, Sveta and Dementieva in the draw the Russian domination of the tier Is this year could continue...

Mauresmo's draw is just amazingly tough. Has Hingis and henin both in her draw not to mention Chakvetdaze and Dementieva.

Elena's got an exceptionally tough draw - Hingis in the 2nd round, Mauresmo in the QFs and most likely Henin-Hardenne in the semis. She wasn't impressive against Kim, and will need to concentrate herself much better next week.

The top half of the draw is just incredible! Mauresmo, Hingis, Dementieva, Henin-Hardenne, Kuznetsova, and dangerous outsiders, such as Pennetta and as you say Chakvetadze.

There wasn't enough depth on them either...they were just asking to be smacked for a winner, something you just can't do, especially against someone like Venus!

It could've been worse- she could've been playing against Davenport on a grass-court roflmao Poor Hingis's serve would be hammered!
