Title: XFactor Wk 6 - who is going home?
Description: tell me ....

SuperBRAT - November 23, 2007 03:31 PM (GMT)
I want to know :D Once i know I will be outting my savings on at betfair so you better be right.

So who is likley to go tomorrow night? Bottom 2? Any thoughts?

I'm not sure, I keep thinking Hope should be what they SHOULD have done i.e. gone home ages ago and what they really DID are too different things. As long as no one else screws up they will be bottom 2. But will the judges send them home - they wer saved twice!

The scenarios with Hope in Bottom 2 are -

Hope v Rhyd - they must save Rhyd, they wouid not dare.
Hope v Niki - up to Sharon and Danii, who I expect to save Nikki.
Hope v Beverley - ditto, Sharon will save Bev but will Danii make it a public vote? She is a coward!
Hope v Leon - interesting one, as it will be up to Sharon and Louis and Louis wants another girl band. As they all seem to
Hope v SD - interesting again. Both Simon's acts so anything could happen. Will Simon wake up and get rid of Hope? He should do really after all he needs to keep the most popluar act. Louis will save Hope. Sharon I think will save SD, but could go either way. Danii?

I'm worried for any act but Rhyd. I have a feeling that Bev or Niki will be bottom two unless Leon and SD REALLY screw up. After al the idiots put Bev bottom 2 recently so she can't be that popluar. We'll see. :)

BIG-TODGER - November 23, 2007 04:34 PM (GMT)
Hope or Same Difference should go, but Leon might get very nervous.
I think i'm right in saying only Hope and Beverley have been in the bottom two before, Hope twice i think, so Hope i would think could and should go.

Pebs - November 23, 2007 05:19 PM (GMT)
Leon and Hope I reckon for bottom two and I think the judges will save bloody Hope again...

Buttons - November 23, 2007 06:09 PM (GMT)
yep i think it will be hope and leon

if they save hope again ill go mad i hate them lol

WimbledonAce - November 23, 2007 08:31 PM (GMT)
I'm with Pebs, Hope and Leon and they will save Hope. Can just see Louis now

Lex - November 23, 2007 08:34 PM (GMT)
Leon and Hope

it'll be a close call. Sharon seems to love everyone, Louis has to save face and will choose Hope, Simon will choose Hope, Danni will choose Leon...

Sharon's call and I reckon she'll choose Leon to push it phone vote

WimbledonAce - November 23, 2007 08:40 PM (GMT)
Phone vote would be good cos I think that would be in Leon's favour :ok: Plus they have to have one surely!

I would agree but they seem to be shying away from it at the mo - theres a couple I think should have gone that way...

I dont know about Sharon pushing it to a phone vote if it means getting rid of one of Dannii's contestants tbh.... whatever she may say about being impartial...

SuperBRAT - November 23, 2007 11:21 PM (GMT)
I don't think Leon in botto 2 is so cut and dried. he coudl make that song sound nice, and he ha shuge support. Plus he is unique in the comp if you knwo what i mean. The only young potential heartthrob (not that he does it for me< i prefer Rhyd :D ) lad left now Andy's gone. I think the most split vote is for Bev and Nikki, I knwo they are very different but they are two older female powerful singers. It's not like one is distinctly rock and one soul, so the vote is split by genre, as I've seen on Am Idol. Bev is more soul, but not purely. Rhyd si totally differen to the rest cos of the operatic style and he's just sooo good and classy, no bum notes. SD are their onw thing too, as are Hope I guess although bad and unoriginal. This is why I see a problem for one of Bev and Niki.

OH MY GOD !!

Rhydion has just been bloody awesome

If he doesn't win it will be a total travesty

Buttons - November 24, 2007 07:56 PM (GMT)
hmm now i wouldnt b suprised if it was both the groups in the bottom 2 i loved the other 4

Rhydian blooming amazing again :D

Pebs - November 24, 2007 07:56 PM (GMT)

I dont know if I will be right for bottom two now - I think that was Leons strongest vocal so far and he did himself proud.

I still think Hope for the bottom and I hope they go! But I fear for Bev this week - think she did well but like SB says, its the older generation thing and hers wasnt quite as strong as others..

personally, now after the show, I would like Hope and SD to be there and am happy for either of them to go - SD werent bad and did it well but its still icky

BIG-TODGER - November 24, 2007 07:58 PM (GMT)
Rhydian was excellent as usual, but Leon was really good too-really surprised to hear myself saying that.

I thought Hope were bloody awful, how come they keep getting decent comments, the lead singer was sharp and her voice is very very average.

Absolutely agree, i fear for Beverly, she did well but there's something about the voiting, she was in the bottom two the other week and didn't deserve to be.

SD i think they have a strong fan base (god knows why) it was their best week though so unfortunately i think they'll stay

I thought she sounded awful tonight - and they are relying more and more on her... time to move them along please!

BIG-TODGER - November 24, 2007 08:04 PM (GMT)
But why don't Hope ever get really slagged off, they seem by far the worst in the comp at the moment-even more so than SD

Pebs - November 24, 2007 08:10 PM (GMT)
I really, really dont know BT - I dont agree with one comment about Hope that is in the positive - we need a group like them like we need... do you know, I cant find anything I need less than I need a group like Hope spewing rubbish on the tv!

I think they were pure titillation for Simon Cowell to get off on - though he has fortunately moved away from that slightly - maybe he got put off by the condom look last week? - but, they truly havent deserved to stay I think....

and no doubt I will be back here spouting venom after the results when I find they stay for yet another week!

didn't see Bev or SD but the rest were ok

Leon was a bit ragged but still his best
Nikki also ragged, am a bit tired of hearing about her Dad to be honest
Rhyd - see earlier
Hope - hmm, think they'll be with Bev in bottom two and judges might save Bev although it still may go for the vote.

Federer-Williams - November 24, 2007 08:49 PM (GMT)
I think Leon was really good today.
Rhydian has a really good classical voice but I don't think the public would want to hear that for more than a one-hit christmas wonder which we usually get (bar Leona Lewis). He has got personality though.
The Beverly and other woman I forgot her name though. Saw only the clip of Beverly and she was a bit off-key and not as good as Leona was on that song but still good.

Hope were very off-key as you said BT.
SD I didn't hear but from past performances think that they along with Hope are the weakest links at the moment.

Pebs - November 24, 2007 09:15 PM (GMT)
what a f*cking cop out from Sharon Osbourne! She paid a heavy price for that - she knew she f*cked up - Beverley was a 100 times better than Hope - I am soooooooo angry I could just :argh:

:kpow: to Sharon!

Federer-Williams - November 24, 2007 09:17 PM (GMT)
Hope got through over Beverly?

Wow didn't see that one coming.

Unortunately the two daughters of the family I'm living with need to use two telly's when the parent's are out so I can't watch the show when I watch like 1 hour of tv a week to their...30 summat.

dl04 - November 24, 2007 09:23 PM (GMT)
Sharon Osbourne! What a bitch! :moody: :moody:

Beverley so deserved to stay in, than those talentless sluts

BIG-TODGER - November 24, 2007 09:24 PM (GMT)
The result was bloody wrong, so much for the wisdom of the British public.
the main singer in Hope squawked her way a totally undeserved victory, while Beverly-one of the class acts on the show is shunted.
If Sharon had had the balls to pick the best act instead of letting the mob decide Bev would live to fight another day.
And same difference are still there, smiling grinning, and giving the word average a whole new meaning.
Next week it's the public that decide anyway so Bev would probably have gone then, so it probably makes little difference.
I must be hearing things wrong

styeffo - November 24, 2007 10:00 PM (GMT)
I think Sharon didn't want to be the "bad" judge who cast Hope out, and it backfired, but to be honest i said she should go to the public vote that and Hope would go......

100% wrong result!

WimbledonAce - November 25, 2007 12:08 PM (GMT)
Well what can I say??!!!!!!! Firstly my views on the performances :

Bev - Was slightly underwhelmed by Bevs performance. For such a big song it was pretty low key, I guess I had Mariah's version in my head. Was not surprised that she was in the bottom 2. However....... the judges all gave her really good comments, which makes me really puzzled by the final result.

Same Difference - Tried their best but you could see they were struggling with the vocals, this is a power ballad after all. Too many close ups of their contorted faces! liked the outfits this week though. Do not mind them staying in as they are the only genuine group. Think they will prob make the final at this rate.

Niki - Really liked Nikki this week. Although I am fed up of the sob stories Nikki got to me this week! Very emotional and I was crying with her. Although some of the notes were off thought she did a great job. Liked her look too, hair looked miles better than last week and the bosoms were tamed. Good job :ok:

Rhydian - Wow what can I say?! Amazing performance, seems to stun every week. This guy is fantastic! He always looks so scared too at the end, v endearing. Loved the footage of him going back home. Theres something wrong if he doesn't win. Beautiful

Hope - So bad it's disgusting they are still there! Even the so called best singer was diabolical. Out of tune and shouty. The others become more like spare parts every week. Also Simon's excuse was - there is only one lead vocal with this song so she had to do it alone. Reality check to Simon - you didn't have to choose that song!!!!! He could have gone with another song that was easier to share. Total cop out!

Leon - Didn't know the song at all but seemed a pretty decent performance. Still feel he is forgettable though and personality is lacking. His days are definitely numbered.

The results : As I said earlier I was not surprised by the bottom 2, after watching the show I picked them both. However the judges votes were ridiculous :banghead: Obvious we knew how Simon and Louis would go. Danni got it right but what was Sharon thinking??!!!! Did she just go for the split vote cos they wanted the drama of deadlock (how naff was that by the way?) Or had she been instructed to do so to ensure Hope get maximum exposure? Either way it was very wrong. If you compared the 2 performances Bev was streets ahead. Also I can't understand how Hope got more public votes? Unless it was because Bev was on first. Awful outcome, the first week that i have been really pis*ed off :tsk:

OMG :o

I didn't see the results last night and have just watched!

I didn't think I'd be right on the bottom two never mind the cop-out by Sharon.

Hated seeing Bev going out she really didn't deserve that.

hey ho!

:(

The evil me loved it because of Louis - he is such a weasel... :blah:

As usual i think you've got it spot on. I was surprised by how good Leon was, but i agree he does lack personality.
I don't know whether Sharon was pushed into the decision or whether she thought going to the public vote would be fairer, but i could tell be her body language her vote for hope was not genuine.

Lex - November 25, 2007 04:17 PM (GMT)
I just got the feeling she bottled it, even though she tried to 'justify' her decision.

If Hope ultimately win, or at least get to the final, then of course Louis will be bleating that they were his idea and will take credit..

very possibly, it's hard to imagine Simon persuading or pressuring her.

Blimey you really don't like Louis do you? must admit i saw a brief interview with him recently and i thought he came across as quite pathetic and whimpering.
He has the manner on the show of a yapping dog, at the heels of Simon.
Having said that i don't mind him too much

WimbledonAce - November 25, 2007 04:43 PM (GMT)
After watching it again - yes I really did! I think Sharon may have thought Hope would be bottom in the public vote and would go. Even so she shouldve just booted them. They have to go next week
Best of British next week, should be good :ok:

Pebs - November 25, 2007 04:58 PM (GMT)
Loved your comments WA - and agree with them all. I cried with Niki this week and I thought Leon had improved though, not to the extent that I see him as a winner.

I think Sharon going on about 'you'll see why I did this in a minute' is cos she thought Hope was going out and it all just backfired on her. It was a big risk to take and Beverley was the one who got hurt by it.

I have to say, I thought Beverley was so dignified with her going out - unless she went cat like on the aftershow show! - and came across soooo well.

On the actual performances themselves - I didnt say anything yesterday cos was soooo cross but agree that Rhydian was just amazing.. SD looked like they struggled but looked better and didnt do a bad job... Niki was miles better this week (loved your comment about her tamed boobs!)... Leon was much better and Hope were just.... just..... well, they were shite werent they?

SuperBRAT - November 25, 2007 08:28 PM (GMT)
After what seemed to be a shocker of rmany, I was not at all shocked. I had suspected Bev in the bottom 2, I also thought her song would not be a good choice and lovely as she is, she isn't quite on the money and there are lots more singers of her genre out there who are better, young and old.

My thoughts:

Beverley - wrong song, too big for her, wailed it, sounded flat and shouted. Even the emoptional side wasn't wuite there this time. Sorry Bev it was poor, make no mistake about it.

SD- well it worked for them, the optimistic chorus lyric seemed apt and I think they are so lovely and fun, they make you want them to stay in. Although it was not a perfect vocal. I prefer them with dancers though. Please put them in Eurovision they would be fab :D

Rhydian - a beautifully sung perfromance, lovley. I'd have preferred a tad more welly in there, more operatics and drama but it was great. He's still my man  :D And he takes the praise so well, he genuinely i snto arrogant.

Niki - tad ropey in parts, but it was a tough song and the girl did the biz. :ok: I know folk say thy are sick of her story but that si the XF's fault. That was her dad's song and she looked like she was holding back tears to deliver that, and it was so emtional. I hate that song but I loved her. I was almost in tears. She proved she's a class apart from Bev.

Hope - well bizarrely they were better than I expected - well Pheobe was. She did very well with a tough song at her age.:ok: But it's supposed to be a group and they are not a group, they are one okay singer with 4 useless ones, and were a bottom 2 for sure.

Leon - he did better than I thought, a charming perfromance. :D But despite my being a huge fan of Sinatra stuff I do get sick of impersonators, and he is starting to sound like one - I don't ebleive he is Leon but a Buble wannabe. Lovely voice, lovely kid but wondering how far he should go really.

Bottom 2 was correct, but Bev upped it in the sing off and based on her superior talent as a solos artist to theirs as a group, she shoudl have stayed. She woudl never have won it, in fact I think going off in the next week or 2 woudl be fair for her but not now to Hope. Sharon, what WERE you thinking?   It's clea the public hate them enough!

Next week will be interesting. No idea who else would be in the bottom 2 with Hope if they got there again! Now Bev's goen I think everyon has their own unique niche and fan base.

SuperBRAT - November 25, 2007 08:29 PM (GMT)

he just winds me up the wrong way and very few people do that generally.

When he was waving his arms and clapping along with Bev, he looked like a politician trying to be hip and the way he had a go at SD for no reason was just mean.
