I seriously doubt if anyone in this day and age uses those pick up lines.they are corny and not to mention tacky and so lame.Guy would probably end up with a punch in the face if they tried those.

I normally have gotten to know the opposite sex via friends. There was one ex girlfriend who I met at a bar while I was ordering drinks and we just got chatting. I have made many friends that way as well. That was mainly due to a few years where I virtually went to the same pub most nights, often by myself, and sat drinking at the bar... I found it a good way to meet a lot of people and become an alcoholic....

I merely stated I met one of my ex-girlfriends while ordering drinks. I didn't take her home that night nor did I get drunk! We swapped numbers that night and met up again on another night and then the relationship developed...
When I visited the same pub (my local) a few years back nearly every night the most I would drink in the week was 2 or 3 pints and 5 or so at a weekend. I never really got drunk or was a "skank"!!! Going to a pub frequently isn't a bad thing if you can control yourself! :D

Woah horsey woah... back right up there!! :o :o I'm not sure if you are kidding or making assumptions so I'll just explain a couple of things! ;)
I didn't say I needed to drink to pick up girls, nor did I say I did one night stands and in the cold light of day I regretted it.
I merely stated I met one of my ex-girlfriends while ordering drinks. I didn't take her home that night nor did I get drunk! We swapped numbers that night and met up again on another night and then the relationship developed...
When I visited the same pub (my local) a few years back nearly every night the most I would drink in the week was 2 or 3 pints and 5 or so at a weekend. I never really got drunk or was a "skank"!!! Going to a pub frequently isn't a bad thing if you can control yourself! :D
