Title: I'm A Celebrity...
Description: Get Me Out Of Heeeerrrree!!

Anyone watch this?
Seen a few episodes online and I'm liking this Janice lady, very argumentative and makes the programme entertaining to watch.
Don't know who some of em are but good trash TV. :D
Pebs - November 20, 2007 10:05 PM (GMT)
I am dipping in and out of it - and I found Janice hugely irritating at first, but have grown to like her as the poor woman gets voted to do just about everything! I really hope the public dont vote her out first after being so mean to her.
trisco - November 20, 2007 10:08 PM (GMT)
Yeah same here. She is good entertainment value and puts her all into it, takes it all on the chin. I'm starting not to like the too grumpy old men, Rodney and John.. don't know how they fall into the celebrity category.

I didnt know either of them but they seem really nasty... but reasonably well liked by most of the group so I am little sceptical of editing... but they give Lynne a very hard time, which she may or may not deserve - but they are particularly insulting about her shape and fitness - no need for that :tsk:

I doubt she should care, she made a fortune out of PR and was the protoype for the legendary Ab Fab. :D
I don't really watch it, it is very drawn out and full of ads. i did see the first one or two, Janice was awful. I saw a clip of Mark flirty with that slapper form Catatonia. I did liek him until I heard he had a gf  Is it true that katy of Aprrentice is in it? If so what is she like?
Who's bene voted off cos I don't know?
Lex - November 22, 2007 06:52 AM (GMT)
I've seen most of them and it's interesting to see how both Lynne and Janis are soo similar but can't see it.
Sure Janis is more theatrical but Lynne makes up for that in the earth-mother stakes. Both love being the centre of attention, both offer their input without it being really welcomed or necessary. Janis is fun factor and Lynne strikes me as being everso slightly supercilious. Janis has had a raw deal with being chosen for almost all the trials.
Mark has gone. He seemed like a decent chap and eye candy for the girlies I guess, but has muckied his ticket with his gf at home by his flirting with Cerys - nothing happened, but it was an intense relationship all the same.
Cerys is a bit of a non-entity at the moment other than the flirtathon with Mark, eye candy for the boys but she has serious competition on that side with Gemma.
Gemma, see above. She also keeps to herself and apart from one task, I haven't really seen her do much. She is lovely though  I think it's going to be a choice between her an Cerys for today's eviction.
John is the resident 2** Michelin chef, so is going to be an irrascible shit as he always is on TV. I am warming to him. Lynne seems to hate him because he steals the limelight at mealtimes, but it goes deeper than that I guess. I think he could win.
Biggins is my tip to win though. He's the life of the camp, but also seems to have folks' respect on the otherside too. He can laugh and joke, but offer good advice and calm things when they get too twisted and bitter.
Rodney is the grumpy old man. Thought he'd be ok at first, but his attitude is a bit grating. I don't think he'll last until next week
Jay, along with Gemma, Cerys and Anna has been a bit overshadowed by the John, Lynne, Janis show. He's eye candy for the girls which could save him for a while and could be a dark horse if things calm down a bit.
Anna, she's another wallflower. She milked Mark and Cerys for relationship talk so we found out how deep the feelings went and has done a couple of tasks but other than that is pretty invisible.
Katy, I'm warming to her. She seems very down to earth and calls a spade a spade. I'm glad she didn't go out last night but it's obvious she's on the danger list cos of all the bad press she got after the apprentice. If she got a few more trials her way, I think she could be in with a chance of being there next week.

Wish I'd seen it now :D
Didn't know Biggins was there, I like him he's a hoot isn't he :D
I suppose the Michelin chef is handy, what has he been cooking? I don't knwo him that well, have seen him on TV a few times and he didn't catch my imagination in the personality stakes.
I'm surprised Katy hasn't had challenges, I thought she'd get voted for them and that being on Apprentice they'd be right up her street. I don't think she is anyhwere near as bad as she seemed on Apprentice. Even on that I coudl see she was vulnerable and quite down to earth really. She was a right b*tch though for the most part but contraversial as it might be - and I don't care - I warmed to her. At least she was entertaining.
Cerys is an airhead form what I see and she is basically there to relaunch her career. I hope she doesn't cos she made some dire records.
And Mark Bannerman who left - form what I saw he seemed very nice and down to earth. Quite chatty and friendly and it's a shame he peed folks off with a gf on the outside, no need Mark! However, aren;t the audience a bit hypocritcal? I mean look at that jerk Preston "I wish I was Paul Weller but ain't fit to lick his ass" off Big Brother. He had a gf and buggered off with Chantelle. She won the thing and he wasn't far behind. Do you think Mark was trying to do a Peter Andre?
Lex - November 22, 2007 09:36 AM (GMT)
No, I genuinely believe that he and Cerys hit it off big time. I've known it to happen in other situations and from his eviction chat, he was genuinely gutted on both counts. I really don't think he was out for a bit of the other. He was bloody stupid though to allow his feelings to show for Cerys after only a few days, I bet he feels terrible for hurting his gf like that and will be doing a lot of apologising I reckon. She'll probably make him squirm a while

Oh right! Well the clips I saw did make it look that way. They did seem to genuinely click and you can't help that. he should have been more careful though  I wonder if his GF will dump him?

I agree with you Lex that it was genuine....you only had to see the way they looked at each other. Vanessa Feltz has said today, 'perhaps he was pretending, to heighten his profile' but a dj on the radio replied....' if you had seen Marc in Eastenders years ago, you would know...he can't act' Feel for his girlfriend.....I really do :( He was very open about it in his interview last night, and again briely on ITV2 ..he didn't want to rest, eat or talk, he just wanted to get on the soonest flight home. Thinky Cerys is going to get a bit of a shock when she comes out......because I think she felt it was ongoing, but now in the cold light of day for Marc, he doesn't sound soooo sure. If it is genuine, just goes to show how easily, no matter how in love you truely are, someone else can stir great feelings, totally to your shock and surprise. :(
TRIS...you asked about Janice......she is said to be the worlds first 'Supermodel.' and she appeared in the first few series of Americans Next Top Model on Living tv. She is a little abrasive for my liking, but I prefer her over Lynn anyday (well in small doses :) ) Lynn drives me crazy...get her outta here now..... :argh:
Was sooooo pleased when J got to do a trial. Its getting a little boring seeing Janice and co do so many.....variety would be so much more entertaining. I think, when the camp have done well, and eaten well, the viewers then like to choose the most unsuitable for the next challenge, just so they end up starving that night. Mind you Lynn did great in the trial underground where she had to find stars by putting her hand in small tunnels full of creepy crawleys, snakes, rats........ :sicky:
WimbledonAce - November 22, 2007 08:56 PM (GMT)
I love this show - reality TV junkie!!! B)
Glad Marc has gone but also pretty surprised, seems quite covenient! Not surprised his girlf went back home. Feel really sorry for her, must be awful seeing your boyf all over another girl after 2 minutes! Can't see the Marc and Cerys thing lasting outside of camp to be honest.
Janice is fab, everyone at work hates her but I think she's great! So funny and it's not her fault she has to do all the tasks.
There's no one I tip to win as to be honest i don't particularly like any of them. Can't stand Lynn though. Katie doesn't seem as bad as in the apprentice.
Think they have really scraped the barrel this year with the "celebs". Ant and Dec are hilarious as always though :ok:
Lex - November 23, 2007 10:09 AM (GMT)
bloody shame that Katie went :( I was really starting to like her.
I soo want Lynne to go now, she's just annoying. Did you notice how she had a go at Rod for suggesting Jay for the Trial and then went on to suggest Gemma and Cerys herself?
The woman needs to go, she is just such a hypocrite!

I couldn't bear Lynn last night...there is just no leaway with her is there. She is meant to be an intelligent woman, but she fails to see that she is the one who starts most of the arguments with the other 3 older members. Unless its clever editing of course  You just cannot win with that woman, she is a bloody nightmare. I do hope when she sees some of the footage back, she will see what a complete contrived self centred pain in the a**e she is.
I KNOW Janice can be grating and abrasive, but she does speak honestly, and is quick to apoligise when she has made a mistake. Yep she is lazy though, especially during last nights task with the turkeys
I agree with your point about 'J' and a task Lex.
I don't have a fave to win at the mo. I do think, like in some previous years, that if some of the overpowering people are voted out, then the quieter ones start to emerge and shine....so there could be a surprise winner in say Anna, Cerys or Gemma. Remember Tony Blackburn winning, when in the earlier rounds all he was really known for was constantly going out to collect firewood

I would not have expected that. Katy was yesterday's favourite voted for by ITV viewers, she had overtaken Chri sand Janice. I was gonna watch to see her but I won't bother now.

she went up tenfold in my opinion after watching her do that - and thats despite the fact that Mr Pebs seems to have a major crush on her!
Rodney Marsh can come across as really rather repellent and Janice went waaaaay down after voicing her reasons for being such a cow to Lynne. I am totally with Cerys, there is no need to be like that - sometimes the whole 'I am direct and honest' is just an excuse to be a completely ignorant git - manners and a little tact cost nothing.
And if I hear the excuse 'I am working class' one more time.....
:argh:

good - Gemma is far prettier :P2
Mo aka Mz O'Hara - November 26, 2007 09:19 AM (GMT)
I enjoyed the show on Sunday evening......a much calmer camp which is good to see. I laughed for ages when Biggins and Anna were sent to the Pit and Biggins had a rat sitting on him for AGES (especially when he inadvertenly covered it up with some of his clothing) I thought it may nod off. :lmaao: I think I wet myself a teeny tiny bit, coz I was laughing soooo much. Great tv.
Didn't like Rodney Marsh, such a chauvinist...BUT thought he was an absolute star when he did the challenge the other evening with Anna in the water. Guiding and encouraging her, keeping her as calm as possible...he was a real gent that time. Was good to hear him say last night, that it was his fave moment so far, seeing her perform so well though the fear.
Biggins did well last night during his trial....not sure I could have coped with all those spiders, and sooo big :yikes:
Still not sure who I want to win, or who may win

Agree 100%, there is a time and a place for being direct and a time for being tactful. Rodney is old enough to have learnt some people skills by now. Glad he left :ok:

I think J or Gemma to win.
Biggins is ok but verging on the seedy. He gives away a little TOO much info re his private life. Having said that, it was one of my fave moments when he said people were in the majority to swing. John's face :yikes:

I've been giggling about that since Sunday evening, especially as they keep playing on my local radio the part where he shrieks 'It was on Meee' roflmao roflmao I almost drove the car off the road with laughter on my way to work yesterday when they played that clip. It was so great, when he looked to be 'tucking in' the rat for a kip, thinking it was his water bottle. I suspect Biggins is going to LOVE that moment when he sees it played back to him.
Classic tv
Still don't know who I want to win....but think Janice has to go tonight.....she is wearing thin on me and the campers. Think she has had enough too.
PS Yeah I remember the rude words charades....going to try that at Xmas because the people I will be with are very likely not Jungle viewers, so I should be able to catch them out. :ok:

:o Has Tyra Banks had surgery then  :D Janice is bearable in small doses, and has been entertaining at times, but no no NO...she is too horrible at other times to be a deserving winner.
