surely playin doubles at the first slam shows their intent on givin 2008 a good run. they only play doubles when they are confident. and when they are truley confident then its almost impossible to beat them.
the last time they played doubles was at wimbledon this year- venus won the title nd i think if serena hadnt gt injured then i think she would hve been in the finals, maybe hve won it.
so i think this is a good sign and i hope they provide justine and lindsay :P :wub: a challenge in 2008.

When venus and Serena are serious about doubles, they're unbeatable to be pefectly honest. I remember in 1999 when they won the French and US Open titles, they were far less experienced than theirhad that opposition but had that inevitable chemistry and just that extra force of will :D
I love it when they play doubles! It was a treat to see them thrash the British WC's this year at Wimby. Venus nearly took one of their heads off with a drive volley, as she almost did with Max mirnyi last year roflmao

It's good to see them playing doubles but it's a bit overstated to say they will be confident.
Serena is injured and last reports say the doctors still havn't worked out what is wrong with Venus... :shrug:
The Oz Open should be interesting though if they and the other big guns are fit and playing well... :D

I know people get fed up of hearing Serena say she is unbeatable when she plays her best and Venus said she finds it hard to beleive anyone can beat her when she plays well but.......
seriously when they both play doubles and are in form and uninjured and mentally there they have too much power and talent for even the most wiley of seasoned doubles teams.
Just watching their AO 03 doubles final now :D.
