im working nights this week no likely will miss most iof the matches :(

Bit of a fightback from Anna there but not enough in the end.

Maria was serving for the match but got broken back. Now 6-5 on serve in the second.

But she ties it up 6-4 7-5

Did you see it? It was Maria's mental ability that got her through that.. was still struggling with her serve but managed to play vintage Sharapova at the right times.. and by vintage I don't mean cheating! ;)

Yo QJ, you watching the Ana match? What the f*ck is she doing out there? I went for a smoke when she was 6-1, 3-0, 40-15 up and I come back and she's now 4-3 down with a break. I really can't stand Kuznetsova either... what a rubbish birthday for Ana if she were to lose to her from such a promising position. :(

Was a great match.. well last set anyway as I didn't see the rest.

Very impressed with how Ana handles big situations these days.
She can come up with some amazing shots these days it seems under pressure but you have to get credit to Kuzzy, some of her shots were just :yikes:

Great match and a good end to the 1st day. :ok:

Cheers QJ - I normally watch it on TV but wasn't able to tonight. I find streams are much harder to find for the women's game too.

I'm pretty sure there's someone on Ana's forum who uploads her matches, so hopefully they'll have it up soon. Thanks for the offer though - I just hope Ana isn't too exhausted for her next match now! I'd like to see her play Justine again, preferably in the final. :P
