I love Halloween! I decorate my house to the hilt, I have a huge collection of stuff. I do every window - one has a ligh tup spider's web, there are soem pumpkin lights, flashing eyed skulls and devils. it seems to scare quite a few adults away! I've got stuff hanging form celings. a display of horror movie pictures, loads of proper decorations adn banners, my bat cascades are my current faves. I've got some wicked ornaments inc witches, ceramic pumpkin lights, skull candle sticks. I peronalise it cos over the years I made a lot of stuff from stencils etc and make a wall display of witches flying over the fire place! It's fun, I love it. Not usre abotu the neighbours but the trick or treaters come back year after year and compliment me on my decorations. I think they think I am mad, they are right. :D

I might leave them up for Xmas, I did once and it was mor efun than crappy Xmas decs. :D

Dark_Necrofear™ - October 29, 2007 01:36 PM (GMT)
Halloween is my favourite time of the year.As you all can tell by my name which means in a cartoon called Yugi-Oh the fear of the dark.Dark_Necrofear is an Egyptian monster from the cartoon Yugi-Oh which can only be summoned to the battlefield if and when its covered in dark clouds. :D

Looks like Im gonna be scarng quite a few people.!

this urban legend terrified me when i was a kid, and i must admit i've never ever tried doing it......cos chainsaw or not, i'm actually a wuss:

BLOODY MARY!!

Urban Legend: Chanting "Bloody Mary!" thirteen times in front of a candlelit mirror in an otherwise dark room will summon her vengeful spirit.

The Story: Go into a room with a mirror and turn all the lights off. Bathrooms seem to be perfect for this since they almost always have a mirror and are usually dark at night with the lights off and the door closed. Light a candle, look into the mirror, start chanting "Bloody Mary" . You have to do this 13 times, of course. You should see Bloody Mary behind your left shoulder after the thirteenth time.

Beware, she has been reported to 1.) Kill the person calling her, 2.) Scratch their eyes out, 3.) Drive the person mad or 4.) pull the person into the mirror with her. This is an old legend, it has been around for ages. A folklorist, Janet Langlois, published an essay on the legend back in 1978. At that time, the legend was wide spread across the USA and a popular slumber party ritual done by girls as well as boys. No one knows the true origins of the Bloody Mary tale, she's been known to be anything from a witch that was killed for practicing witchcraft to a modern day woman killed in a car crash, depending on what part of the country you live in. It was made popular again in the film Urban Legends in 1999.

For similar reasons I don't say Candyman 5 times in font of a mirror. :peek:

I didn't knwo that was a real legend. I thought they'd made ti up! Anyway that film it is in is quite crap, it's a rip of of Candyman - which is one of the few films I've watched that ever made me scared to go to the bathroom co sthere was a mirror in there. I actually made my housemate come with me and wait outside! :yikes:  If you've not seen Candyman please do because it is a really original modern horror. It's credible and comtemporary and very creepy. C'Man 2 though is quite weak.

I watched that when I lived in Portsmouth... nasty little flat. Watched it at a friends house.. got pretty scared and got a taxi home.. only to walk through the hallway of the house to my flat door and find a bunch of twigs outside like in the film.. shat myself... was my neighbour in the next flat gathering stuff to do with his Uni course..

I've just been watching Most Haunted Live - Halloween edition from Townley Hall in Burnley.

They've just done a Ouija session and it was the most obviously rigged bit of TV I've ever seen in my life!

It was obvious that the dark haired chappy (Carl?) was pushing the glass. The speed of the responses was slow, but magically, after the ad break they had got soooo much information.

What a load of bollocks!

Everybody I speak to says that.. the only person who thought the same as me was the person who watched it with me at the time...

Couple o wusses maybe :P
I just liked the suspense and the fact you never saw anything.. left it all to the imagination.
Although what that says for my imagination I ain't sure
