any thoughts here...

Yeah basically he was flat and could not get himself going. He did not have the fighting spirit or never say die atttude of greats in that department like Hewitt and Connors. And as he failed to get himself going, he got more frustrated. Soem days you can turn it on, some days not. Murray now needs to learn from this and work out how to beat players when he is nto playing at 100 per cent himself.

Good outing fo rhim though, al these assholes who said he would go out in round one were wrong then. He beat two seeds so great Wimbledon for him. Dissappojnting today though, but he can get over it. great showing otherwise - I mean lots of others di dnto make roudn four di dthey?

Connors' comments were spot on btw. He takes encouragement form this Wimby for Murray and is still hoping to work with him, so must be good then. :D

I guess that the better player won on the day?

Most of the younger players are pretty inconsistent, so he's not alone in that respect. Gasquet, Monfils, Baggy himself, to name a few. There's Rafa of course, but he's not your average 20 year-old! I suppose Djokovic is getting more consistent too?

Anyway, the long and short of it was he didn't have a great match, these things happen, so move on. Less than impressed with him chuntering on to the umpire, but that might change over time too? He wants to be coached and guided, apparently. That's a start, if nothing else. So good luck to him.

Overall a successful SW19 campaign for him, without a doubt. Anyone who says otherwise is being a tad unrealistic.

It just goes to show, no matter how talented you are or how well you played in the past, you've still got to produce the goods on the day . Match after match ,tournament after tournament.
It was disappointing from Murray , now he knows how Roddick felt !
Baghditis played a solid match and deserved to win though .
The thing I really enjoyed about the match was Connors commentary ! :D
I was a great fan of his , and now we're hearing at first hand how he was such a great competitor. B)
But on the positive side for Murray, he'll have learnt a lot from this Wimbledon, and for a nineteen year old Brit what a performance this year. :)

Bang on Al. :ok:

Yes Connors was spot on too, what a truly great player he is and he knows what he is talking about too. If peopel are going to diss Murray now, then they are clearly insane as to go against what Connors says woudl just prove utter ignorance.
